It started out very promising Nice helpful receptionist, a lift, which is always a plus It was started by a German returning from Italy and very impressed with it There is a restaurant attached Palio. We booked for dinner at 7pm, as the World Cup was starting on tv at 8pm My only course, some pasta and rabbit didn’t arrive til 8.30, I left most of it The restaurant was very cold, likewise reception AND our room It was beautifully decorated but the plus side ends there Also the room was €180, it didn’t include breakfast Breakfast was another €30 EACH We didn’t have it. We were travelling by car and stopped at the first Aldi and bought fresh rolls and cheese Incidentally Aldi in Germany are much cheaper than the UK

No one in reception on our arrival. Had to carry our suitcases ourselves up the stairs from the garage, no one to help and no lift!! The room was very pleasant as well as the spa part with a great swimmingpool and sauna. The communal areas were very beautiful with comfortable sofas etc. and a good bar. The breakfast room was fantastically beautiful and the breakfast one of the best we have ever had. The deception was the dinner restaurants Taverna & Trattoria Palio. One was more like a pub and the other one a modern charmless Italian restaurant with so so service and guests in jogging suits or very casual clothing. Not what we had expected for a "fine dining experience" in a 5-star hotel. However, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, but we would have expected to dine in the restaurant that was strangely enough only used for breakfasts so the overall dinner experience was blend.

We have stayer here several times and always find this a very nice and ambient hotel. The rooms are spacious, breakfast is absolutely plentiful and delicious and the service is impeccable. But, when we arrived late and wanted a dinner in the restaurant, there was no free table for us and we were either asked to go outside and ind a restaurant or take something from the bar dinner menu. I asked them if we could order from the restaurant and sit in the bar, but this was not possible. German efficiency, but poor customer service. In all my years of traveling I cannot recall having been rejected a table in the hotel's restaurant. I am not sure at all if the restaurant really was fully booked as we were told to have a reservation next morning for breakfast. The dining room was more or less empty. We will probably return later, but will then need a firm table reservation.

First class services and great a**osphere. The breakfast was very good. Perfekt position to center of town. I lost a very special piece of jewelry in my hotel room. I was contacted immediately that it had been found and would be taken care of. Great respect and gratitude to honest service personnel.

Tolle A**osphäre. Sehr nettes Personal!d das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Ein Highlight ist das Schwimmbad am Morgen! Wir haben den Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und benötigt dringend eine Renovierung. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwarte ich keine angekatschten Türen, Schränke, bzw Möbel im allgemeinen Des Weiteren war das Zimmer als wir es betraten hoffnungslos überheizt. Das geht sicher besser Lobenswert dagegen das Personal am Empfang, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. So sollte es überall sein.

Wir kommen jedes Jahr gern in dieses gediegene mit historischem Charme belegte Hotel und genießen, Spar mit Sauna, Fitnessraum und einem zum Schwimmen angenehm temperierten Becken. Das Frühstück ist für uns immer sehr wichtig mit den vielen hochwertigen Speisen und der breiten Auswahl an Käse, Wurst, Broten und Brötchen bis zum Müsli. Der Honig aus der Wabe darf ebenso wie die Eispeisen nicht unerwähnt bleiben.

Für eine Nacht im ersten Haus am Platze in Celle. Das Haus macht einen super Eindruck. Das Entree mit den historischen Gebäuden usw. Der Empfang an der Rezeption war professionell und sachlich. Das Club-Sandwich in der Bar war leider nicht so toll - da es nicht warm serviert wurde. Wobei die Bar ein echt schöner Ort ist. Der Service hat auch nicht überzeugt. ZB gab es keine Nachfragen zum Essen und ob noch ein Getränk gewünscht wird. Das Zimmer war schön. Klassisch, wie das ganze Hotel. Aber die Elektrik war spannend. Jede Lampe hing mit diversen Schaltern zusammen und eine „ruhige“ Einstellung konnte nicht gewählt werden. Fitnesssraum und Sauna waren wie beschrieben wirklich klein. Kein Blick nach draußen, keine Abkühlen im Freien möglich. Nun denn. Ob ich das Hotel noch einmal beehre ist eher fraglich

Beim Einchecken wurde uns ein bereits belegtes Zimmer zugeteilt, was von uns beim betreten bemerkt wurde. Das war sehr unangenehm und nicht professionell für ein 5 Sterne Haus. Dafür gab es eine nur sehr knappe Entschuldigung. Außerdem waren in dem neuen Zimmer keine Bademäntel vorhanden. Der Fitnessraum grenzt mit großer Scheibe an den Poolbereich, was auch etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist. Aber ansonsten war der Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Das Restaurant ist wirklich hervorragend!
