Red Roof Inn Chambersburg

Travelling from Florida back up to NE, tired so decided to stop for night in PA . There were a few motels to choose from so we decided on the popular Red Roof Inn. Our room was good sized and nicely clean. We were a bit intimidated by the handicapped shower. The drain actually keeps up with the shower water and dosent flood the place??? Not in the mood to find out, so only one more days travel so we ll skip it. No breakfast here, no coffee set up in room either😞. Missed that, coffee in lobby but I prefer decaff. DD near by though. Good access to interstate. However our early leaving was for naught as big rigs bumped & spilled load all over, one hour wasted. Not RRI fault though. Decent experience all told.

We booked a Superior King room at Red Roof Inn for 5 nights as we moved out of our home in Chambersburg after selling it. We were surprised by how comfortable the king bed was, over a hundred TV channels on DirecTV with free HBO, microwave for popping popcorn, mini-refrigerator tall enough for a 1/2 gallon milk container, strong water pressure in a modern bathroom, and vinyl floors that are easy to keep clean. We have a cute little 20-pound doggie, and we were pleased that other visitors had similar friendly, fury pets. Even though this motel is only 200 yards from I-81, it is fairly quiet in the room. Great location with many restaurants, grocery stores, laundry mats, gas stations, and similar useful vendors nearby. This Superior King room at Red Roof Inn in Chambersburg fit our needs so well that WE BOOKED AN ADDITIONAL WEEK here before heading to Myrtle Beach, SC for the winter.

Everywhere we go smells like pot. We walked in the lobby the pot smell was so strong and gross. Aside from that the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. And the price was right, and got very good reviews. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. Water pressure was fantastic. Very modern bathroom only a shower. Perfect for a one night stay.

We stay at the Red Roof in Chambersburg PA on our trip up the east coast to NY. We have stayed here SLOT and highly recommend this hotel. Staff is so very friendly, especially Jay at the front desk. The rooms are always clean😊. The price is always reasonable as well.

We travel from GA to NY and back several times a year. We always make Red Roof in Chambersburg a stop for us 😊 Jay at the front desk is absolutely wonderful! He is extremely friendly and helpful!! The only negative I have is no breakfast 🥲 However there is a Dunkin we walk to and grab breakfast before we get on the road again The rooms are fine, nice and clean! I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers 😍

We stayed here whilst driving back home to canada and we unfortunately left our kids toys in the hotel. Jay was amazingly helpful and helped us tracked the stuffed toys and return them to us. We highly appreciate the wonderful service we received and would stay again if we cross by again.

Dirty, needs paint, very dated, smells. No pride by owners. Office closed. Better hotels are less price nearby. Holes in hall floors. Bathroom floor very sticky. Lots of advertising show on tv. Not many entertainment stations

Let me first express and state that I have traveled extensively, across the United States, since I was a child. I have stayed in literal dumps, with bugs all the way to 4 & 5 star hotels. In ALL these 100's of travels, especially in the poorest of conditions, I have never experienced such a Rude, Condescending, Arrogant, incorrigible and Unprofessional staff, as I did, in the lobby's reception area, of Red Roof Inn, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This man should be fired and never allowed to work again in hospitality. He was lounging, in a chair, on his cell phone, in the lobby and appeared as a regular person, instead of the receptionist. He only got up to move towards the check-in area, after I entered. I arrived without booking. Inquired of vacancy. He said that they have but it's on the 2nd floor and they don't have an elevator. His phone rings,and before I could respond, he takes the call. He never said, "Excuse me" or "One moment, please." He just cut me off, as I was about to speak. I waited. Once he finished, I asked if everyone had checked in, or if anyone had cancelled. He didn't bother looking at the registry. He didn't even bother to move behind the desk, but stood at the far corner. I then politely asked, "What kind of business doesn't provide accommodations for all people?" (Let me be clear, I use a powerchair) He asked me what I said and I repeated. His reply was completely unprofessional. He barely allowed me to finish my sentence when he rudely said, "What do you not understand? The first floor is occupied and we do not have an elevator! Do you want me to kick them all out so that you can have a room?" I was completely taken aback and just in shock that a hotel would have such people working for them! So disrespectful and such a condescending thing to say to anyone! I replied, "Of course not! I never once implied that." I said that I just simply asked what kind of business doesn't accommodate for all people. He responded with, "The owners will be here at 9:00pm. You can wait and ask them." The last thing he said was, " Go to Days Inn, if you want elevator." To myself, I thought... yeah thanks that's just what I am looking for to sleep in...an elevator. BUT I didn't say anything even though I wanted to. I pray that the owner sees this. This staff members' remarks and actions were completely unacceptable and unprofessional. He should be fired and the hotel owners should be sued for discrimination! If you are disabled, .. if you have a special need... if you are expecting common courtesy... if you need or desire specific accommodating features or to simply be treated like a human... ***Don't stay here!*** You have been warned.
