Desti Youth Park Changsha

Management for this hotel needs to be changed. The cleanliness is very bad, I got a private room that smelled like urine. When I complained, the front desk staff just laughed. They supposedly sent someone who didn't do a good job. I had to ask for a broom myself and scrub down the walls and floor. Not only that, someone had vomited in the floor I'm front of the hotel entrance, and footsteps were tracking it all inside the hotel reception area. I had to tell the staff to clean it. The carpeting in the hallway smelled old and musty, and the walls insode the room are all scuffed up in need of paint. The floor on the shower needs major deep cleaning. The staff needs to be fired and replaced. All stupid young kids are smiling and on their cellphones.. This hostel has seen better days, not like the Desti in Hangzhou. ABSOLUTELY GROSS I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Good hostel with good location. Comfy beds, sufficiently clean, free towels and english speaking staff. Would book again.

The toilet was dirty kinda, although they clean it every day it seems to stay dirty I guess they don’t clean it properly. The bed was comfy enough, it was clean as well. A good place to stay very close to the metro station. Besides the toilet it’s 5/5 for me.

This is a great place to stay, especially if you want to follow some of the “city walk” routes down to 五一广场 and take a stroll along the river. My room was clean, and everything worked well. I also never had to wait for a shower and there were always plenty of sinks available in the morning! The common area downstairs is also a great chill space, if you want a little bit more room than your bed. I’d definitely come back to stay as a solo traveller!

This was my first time at a Desti hostel and I must say I will choose always this. Clean, comfortable, they give you free bottles of water every day and have a wechat group when they send all the day events at the hostel. So recommended!
