Even though it is not "perfect", I absolutely loved this hotel! It is a small boutique hotel ideally situated on Chania's old harbour. Rooms are full of charm and of good size, you are in the middle of the action, and views are fabulous. The nature of the hotel comes with its own challenges, and perhaps this is what I should start with: - if you travel with large luggage, beware that the hotel has no lift and stairs are quite steep, so if so, you may prefer to ask for a room on the 1st floor. Some rooms also have internal mezzanines. - Wifi is really hit and miss - As other reviewers mentioned, it can be hard to get hot water and the system is fragile so that one morning there was none at all and they had to call a technician to fix it - The area is pedestrian - about 10 minutes (leisurely) walk to the bus station and the nearest road so best for people who like walking. Having said that, none of this bothered me personally. I loved my room and its decor, I found the bed really comfortable (though pillows were really hard), I loved the location, and the staff were lovely. There is a roof terrace with a view to the harbour, a mini fridge in the room if you like to keep some food, and everything was clean and fresh. I'll definitely be back!
