OK, it's not the Hilton, but it has to be the friendliest motel we've been in lately. Paul and Tracey made our stay enjoyable and they cook a great bacon and eggs. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Close to the CBD Reasonable rates. If we are in Charleville again, we'll be back.

An excellent place to stay for work. Accommodation is so welcoming, excellent wifi, desk, couch, and seperate bathroom. lovely outdoor space with BBQ and undercover eating in garden setting. Centrally located to all amenities This motel services the room every day ( a real +) providing bottles of fresh chilled water daily. Linens and room were immaculate. Owners are extremely obliging, nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Our recent stay at the Charleville Waltzing Matilda Motor Inn was memorable for several reasons. We came in on the Westlander which arrives in town well before check-in time but that posed no problem for our hosts - our room was ready so we were able to stow our luggage in our room and enjoy a wander round town. Paul was also happy to provide extra kitchen items so we could have a light breakfast each morning and we came back from our first outing to find our rubbish disposed of and fresh towels provided. The 'icing on the cake' came on our last day. Our check-out time of 10:00am was well short of our train departure time of 6:15pm but in true country hospitality style, Paul suggested we could come back to the room as it was not needed for an immediate booking and spend the afternoon in comfort. Since my husband and I are both over eighty, this was a real blessing. Thank you! Thank you!!

We stayed 2 nights at the Waltzing Matilda Motor Inn. The first night we were in a smallish room that was allocated by our booking service. It was very clean but compact for three people. As the motel was fully boked out the owners could not do anything that night but the following moved us into an amazing family room. Both rooms were meticulously clean and the hosts, Tracey and Paul, were truly helpful and accommodating. Would stay there again.

This Motel is clean,is well maintained and well managed, it is within a couple of minutes walking distance of the town centre. Car parking is allocated in a "first in best dressed" sort of way, there isn't a dedicated spot in front of your unit. We came across this situation a couple of times whilst in North Queensland and didn't find it a problem.

Staying 3 nights here was escorted to our room from Axel, which was very entertaining. The owners was very helpful with getting bookings with local attractions. The room was clean and cosy. The food was great . Out the front under the shade cloth is a very good warm or cool spot to sit and watch time go bye. We will be back. Thanks for the great stay Vic and Tracey.

This is standard Australian motel, - it is nothing flash but offers great value for money - you can park right outside the room, so transferring luggage is very easy, the kitchen facilities - microwave, toaster, kettle are there, the bed is very comfortable, and the room is quiet. What more can you want ?

Not worth the money. The facilitates are poorly maintained and dirty. More cleaning is needed: - cobweb on fans, doors and windows - grease in microwave-that i had to wipe it myself -blankets are old and dirty -hairs in toilet

We enjoyed our stay at Charleville Waltzing Matilda. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Good facilities, central location, handy to attractions, is low set and parking opposite our room. This motel is very popular and was booked out while we were there. Arriving on a Friday was a bit tricky as all dinner places were closed as was the supermarket down the street. So we went to the RSL, however, that was booked out so we settled with takeaway which was very nice. Also on Saturday, most shops etc are closed at midday. We found out later there is a larger supermarket in town which closes at a later time. The water is artesian water and stinks! You can’t get away from this fact! Use bottled water for drinking etc! I would definitely stay at this motel again and am happy to recommend to others!
