Avis : Hampton by Hilton Chongqing Jiangbei Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street

hotel rooms were clean and there were robot service to help deliver food up!

Because of business delay, I stayed in this hotel for three weeks. I am very satisfied with its cleanliness, the friendly staff, and their nice breakfast with both local specials and western choices. When I arrived, I only booked for one night. Following my online booking request, they gave me a quiet room on the 6th floor with a side view to the streets, so that it is less noisy than the rooms facing the street but still has a few to the city. The breakfast was very impressive. It offers both local specials (such as 重庆小面) and western foods (such as croissant, coffee, cereals, and once a while pizza). I love the daily green leafy veggies and sautéed dishes, which is very good for international travelers because of the jet-lag. They even had fish several times during my stay. Furthermore, Chongqing is a place famous for its spicy food and there are fewer choices for non-spicy foods in local restaurants. Their breakfast offers a lot of non-spicy choices, which is another plus. The mattress and pillows are super comfortable, and I didn't have any discomfort on my neck and back. It is very easy to get a taxi on the street by the hotel, if you don't or cannot order a taxi online. My only small criticizing is its location to the Guanyinqiao pedestrian shopping area (观音桥步行街). The hotel does has a nice and central location, but the street of the 10min walk to the Guanyinqiao shopping area is pretty narrow and hilly. However, you could take a taxi instead. The location to the closest light rail (轻轨) station is about 4-5min walk. Overall, I am happy with my stay in this Hilton Hampton.

This is not living up to the Hilton name. This is not a 3 or 4 stars hotel but 2. The room smells musty and is felt like sauna. The aircon blows hot air. This is mid March. We called the receptionist. They said it’s still considered winter in China so they blow hot air to warm the room and not cold air!!! It is centrally controlled so it is impossible for us to lower the temperature to cool the room. They asked us to open the window for the ‘cool’ air from outside to come in. The window does not have mosquito net. It is very noisy. You can hear ppl talking or car passing with the window open!!! They gave us 2 portable air con in the end. But they make a lot of noise!!! We booked this hotel thinking it is a smoke free hotel. But we smell smokes in our room, probably through the common air con vent. We could not sleep the whole night. We just came from Mercure hongya cave and we didn’t have any of this issues! The toilet and bathroom doors are not frosted!!! It is clear glass and you can see right through. Which means you can’t use both at the same time. What a stupid design!!!! There are few steps to reach the lobby reception. No one helps you with the luggage. Which is not friendly for elderly, family with young kids or disabled or if you have a lot of luggage. We asked for wifi password. They asked for our phone instead. And meddling with our phone out of our sight. This is so wrong!!! They could be doing anything with our phone but inputting wifi password. We don’t feel comfortable. We asked for our phone back. The uncle ( he doesn’t look like receptionist, but more like a security officer) ignored us. After I called him a few times, he showed me he is on the ‘wifi’ page of my phone…

Great stay we had at Hampton. Stayed for 2 night: with early departure at 5am, front desk staff was kind enough to pack us with some cookies.

The front desk, ms Zoey has been attending us very warmly. She helps us to keep the luggage, while we are out for shopping and even offer to lend the charger to me to expedite charging my handphone. Of course the overall service which i receive together with my family throughout a day of stay is very welcoming and I will certainly recommend this prestigious hotel to my friends and relatives should any of them would visit Chongqing in the future

The hotel boasts a fantastic location right in the heart of Jiangbei's area, making it super convenient to get around! Their complimentary luggage storage service was a lifesaver - I could enjoy my breakfast after checkout without dragging my suitcase everywhere. Plus, the 24-hour self-service laundry room with washers and dryers was incredibly handy, completely eliminating any worries about laundry during my trip. My room was spotless and well-organized. The front desk staff, especially Ms. Zhu, were exceptionally polite and warm-hearted, promptly addressing any requests I had. The well-equipped fitness center was another plus. These amenities are an absolute godsend for long-term travelers or business trippers!

This was the second time staying in this hotel after the Yangtze river cruise, as we found the hotel meets our expectations. Buffet breakfasts were very good, with a wide variety of foods, both western and Chinese. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Mr Li ( I think he is one of the front desk managers), who can also speak fluent English. They also helped us to bring the heavy luggages up and down the stairs in front of the reception counters. This is one of the drawbacks of this excellent hotel. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the nearest subway station.

The best hotel near mrt, but the door accsess to high

Fantastic stay, great location and amenities. We were given all the pillows we could dream of. Bubble tea just next door!

It’ll be good if a room for refreshment to be provided for shower for late night flight
