Trenewydd Farm Holiday Cottages

Date of visit: August 2023 Visitors: 2 adults and 2 children I am reluctant to leave a negative review for a family-run business, but I feel it is necessary to be honest about our experience. As regular visitors to Cardigan, we have visited the farm twice. Our first visit was enjoyable, but our second visit was highly uncomfortable, and we felt extremely unwelcome. I understand that the farm’s primary revenue comes from its accommodation services. Nevertheless, as paying guests hoping for an enjoyable round of footgolf, we anticipated a warm reception from the owners and a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On the day of our visit, the weather had turned windy. Upon our arrival, Ginnie, one of the owners, mentioned that she had brought all the flagsticks in due to the weather, assuming no one would show up to play. She kindly offered to put them back out for us, and we thanked her. At that moment, the other owner, Andrew, appeared and began to argue with Ginnie, insisting that we should come back the next day. Despite Ginnie’s assurance that it was fine, Andrew started shouting at both her and us, then stormed off, slamming the door loudly behind him. This incident was extremely embarrassing for us and likely for Ginnie as well. We played our round of footgolf, gathered the flagsticks for Ginnie at the end, and left. The experience completely ruined the last day of our holiday. We will not be returning to this business, and after considering the accommodation options previously, we certainly will not stay there.

We stayed at the Shepard's hut (blackberry) for several days. It was immaculately clean, with beautiful views, and a calming atmosphere. The location is ideal if you want to explore local towns or go walking the coastal trails. Andrew and Ginnie were brilliant hosts. Ginnie was very knowledgable about the area and Andrew was an amazing hand, always there when we needed him and even gave a lift into town for an evening meal when our taxi failed to pick us up! The farm has a lot of activities from a games area, to foot golf, and a swimming pool. We had an amazing time at Trenewydd Farms and we will definitely be booking again.

Awesome this place 👌 just had the Easter weekend at these cottages with family and friends booked all the cottages and shepherds hut this being our third visit and we had a great time again.you can't fault any of the cottages all cosy and well equipped and the hot tubs are amazing.lots to do on site and around the area had a go on the scalextric this time and it was brilliant really enjoyed it thanks andrew,me and me lad both got on the leader board need to beat him next time lol. We went on the 2nd of March, arrived a bit early and we’re met with the worlds nicest hosts, so polite and unimaginably kind. We stayed in the blackberry hut, amazing facilities and so clean. Hot tub stayed on all night unlike other places we have stayed meaning we could watch the sunrise in a warm hot tub, which was amazing with the unbelievable views. Hot tub, views, fireplace l, hot showers and smart tv. So spacious inside. Will be rebooking this summer. 10000/10. Everything and more expected

We had an amazing stay at Trenewydd farm. What an idyllic and peaceful place! Everything you need in a cottage, amazing swimming pool and perfect location near to the fantastic beaches etc. Our favourite was Poppit sand which is about 10 min away and Newport Beach where you can drive right on the beach. Perfect place to explore the caves when tide out and watch sunset. Ginnie and Andrew are excellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating. We would definitely be back. Thank you for our holiday!

Such an amazing place to stay, so relaxing and stress free with great walks and sights close by, would definitely recommend staying here and hoping to again very soon. Good pubs close by and a great beach within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the facilities for our kids was perfect, the older kids loved the pool and foot golf, and the younger kids loved the animals and play equipment. The cottages were great to give us all space but large enough for us to get together to celebrate a special birthday. The hot tub was also a great addition to make the weekend more special.

Such a lovely warm and hospitable place to stay for our Easter break. We loved all the things available to do as a family - from footgolf and swimming, chilling out in Cherry Cottage, to nearby cafes, coastal paths and playing in the sand. Thank you so much Ginnie and Andrew for making us feel so welcome.

What a lovely place to stay! Oak cottage was perfect for us with 4 adults and 5 children very spacious the bedrooms were cosy and comfortable and we loved the large dining table so we could all eat together. We were disappointed that the pool was too cold to use but that's to be expected so early in spring and the hot tub was lovely and relaxing anyway. The spacious playing fields were great the boys loved playing in them and we made great use of the foot golf which was free to those staying in the cottages. The chickens and bunnies are great. There is a model train track which is fab! There is a tesco down the road which is handy so no need to pack food. Poppit beach is a must which was about 15 minute drive from Trenewydd such a beautiful beach. If the weather is wet jump 5 hangar trampoline park isnt too far and fun for the kids. Ginnie was so helpful suggesting places to eat and things to do we really appreciated her help and advice. Cardigan village was lovely with nice fish shops and ice cream parlours. We will definitely be returning had such a lovely time! Highly recommend Trenewydd. Thank you Ginnie and Andrew. You have made such a lovely place over 2 years congratulations to you both.
