Hotel Vannucci

Mes amis et moi séjournons actuellement dans ce bel hôtel dans le cadre de l'hébergement fourni par la tournée Strada Toscana sur laquelle nous participons. C'est un excellent emplacement avec des chambres de luxe et une cuisine délicieuse sur place!

Lovely hotel with great staff, good service nestled in an ideal location to everything. Enjoyed our wanders around the town and loved the quiet ambience of the hotel itself. As international tourists it was very enjoyable to stay in a good class of hotel in the regions. We were made to feel very welcome and hope to be back one day !

We were a group of 14 staying at Hotel Vannucci. While I try to stay at 5 star places, this was the first time in a really long time that a place has lived up to or exceeded my expectations, so spoiled. Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Great lobby and yard. When they converted this place (or remodeled) one can see no expense was spared from flow, layout, plumbing, and design (sure they could have made more compact rooms but they did not). We got to tour many of our standard rooms in our group, all were different but all were great. One night the town was noisy, but front desk had earplugs, by the time I got back in bed, all was quiet. The town is fun and walkable, small but not too small. Breakfast was stellar. Staff was exceptional, so kind and hospitable (a lost art in the USA). The lobby and common areas / yard made the place feel like a home away from home. The onsite restaurant which we ate at 2x was exceptional with unique seasonal, fresh italian flair. My only grip, which could be an easy fix was the breakfast coffee was so so / bad, old coffee, waterdown, burnt from the Americano, expresso, to Cappuccino. We did not have a coffee maker in our room..must have good coffee! but the rest was exceptional so even with my coffee grump, the rest was so stellar. My coffee issue was not even close to not giving this place a stellar review. I want to go back to Italy just to stay at this place again. And if weather permitted pool use, OMG my stay would go from a scale of 1-10 to an 11.

If you are not already in love with Italy you will be after a stay here. A superb hotel in a beautiful town. The staff were fantastic. They all made you feel so welcome the minute you stepped into reception. Everything about this place was fantastic, the rooms, restaurant, outside and indoor space, but especially the staff. Leaving we felt like we were leaving old friends behind. Delicious breakfast with again delightful service. We had booked for two nights but loved it so much we stayed for five and we were very lucky as they went out of their way to accommodate us staying longer.

Hotel Vannucci is one of the best small hotels we've stayed in! This is the third of the Gems of Roberto Wirth that we've experienced -- the others being Hotel Hassler and Il Palazzetto, both in Rome. My parents had a deluxe superior room and I had a superior room, both on the second floor. The rooms were well designed, beds comfortable, and bathrooms/amenities very nice. The staff were very kind and attentive. We were able to take advantage of the pasta making class in the villa next door, taught by their chef. Great experience! The wine tasting in the cellar was a plus. The town itself is so quaint and easy to get around on foot. Getting there was easier than we expected. After flying into Rome, we took a train to Roma Tibertina and changed to a regional to Chiusi-Chianciano. The town of Chiusi is nice...a short walk from the train station to Avis to pick up the rental car and we were off to Citta della Pieve. Beautiful Umbrian countryside. Our experience was so good that four nights was not enough! We plan to go back and make it a week's stay!

Amazing place in the center of the village. Outside really nice as the inside. It's an historical place but with a modern style and very new rooms. At the reception they were very gentle as at the bar and the restaurants. We wanted to spend new year eve there and at the beginning it seems not possible since one single night was not the minimum allowed. Then they called back, set the night and the dinner and everything was amazing. If you go in Citta della Pieve you need to go there

What a wonderful little hotel! Beautifully designed and appointed rooms and common areas, excellent restaurant, great staff. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay incredible! I was there with a Strada Toscana retreat which was also top-notch. Highly recommend!

excellent location for touring the westeran part of Umbria. A very nice and preserved house. Gorgeous room. Very friendly stuff. Good breakfast. Private parking. We would certainely love to come back to this unique hotel

We arrived at 10:30 AM and began our cooking experience! It was our 17 day in Italy so we were tired from all the sites and restaurants. We met the chef and his helper and discussed the planned menu… we were going to prepare 4 different pastas and make a garlic sauce and a veal and tomato red sauce. The chef has a really nice personality and was great for me (not an experienced cook) and also my wife who is much more experienced. Needless to say everything went great! The chef and his helper made us feel very welcomed and gave us a lot of local info. We finished with making a desert course of tiramisu which also was really nice. After the class we finished the nice red Chianti that we opened during the class while while we enjoyed the meal that we had prepared!
