I had stayed here some years ago and was okay. Booked a room in March 2022, paid in full ($5,140.00) on July 22. Arrived on Tuesday August 23. Within hours I was back at the front desk asking for help with WIFI/internet access. Hotel advertised on ***********, stating they had wifi available and free. None in my room. They said they would look into it. Next day complained more. Could not email, text, send pictures or access websites. They said they would fix it. Every day got worse but I was patient I was spending $257.00 a day, expecting like anyone would - internet access. I tried to change rooms - even if it cost more. No rooms were available - they said. I asked for separate router for my room and they said they would try and get one. Finally, Sunday morning, I yelled and ask to check out. Suddenly, they said they had a router and to pick it up at the front desk. A little too late. Monday I left room and pre paid parking space. I asked for refund of remaining 14 days. They unequivocally said NO. Citing three reasons. 1) I refused their offered solutions (NOT TRUE), 2) they really had the router all along, but I didn’t pick it up (NOT TRUE) and 3) I yelled at desk boy and therefore crossed the line and if I said anything else, they would “contact the authorities”. THEY OWE ME $3,598.00 REFUND!!!!! I checked into Hotel Alaska up the street. They were gracious and accommodating and genuinely interested in how I had been treated. Apparently, new owners and new unskilled, rude, staff and management. I am in the process of fighting it thru American Express Platinum Card benefits - who are working with Bookings,com. Worst I’ve been treated ever and called a liar (lady manager said I was just trying to get a bigger bed and room). Put a real dent in my psyche for a relaxing climbing/hiking holiday.
