Extremely noisy. Wednesday night stay. Hotel website said restaurant was closed. On arrival restaurant sign states it’s open from Wednesdays during summer. From 5pm there was live music, loud crowds of people, shouting, yelling and having a good time. All good. Except noise does not cease at close time of 9pm. Called hotel after hours reception. They have zero control over the restaurant. Said they would send an email! Seriously!!!! Do not stay here if you would like a quiet costal town relaxing evening.

We are driving up from Tassie to North Qld and decided to stay here for a night but as it is so lovely we are staying another. We have the Disabled room which has everything anyone could want. Bathroom is particularly well thought out. Overall comfort is6 star. When we do this mad mad bolt again Hobart to Hervey Bay in 4-6 days we’ll make sure we have a few nights off here.

Sensational. I had been referred by a friend as we wanted to stop in on our way to Byron Bay for a rest. We are so glad we did. From the first call to book on the day, to our divine (upgraded room) to meeting the lovely Lynn who was servicing the rooms we were thrilled I called 2 hours prior to arriving and spoke to a fabulous representative. When advised it was the first night of our honeymoon she congratulated us and was so warm and kind. Upon arrival the delightful lady upgraded us and welcomed us to The Med. We enquired about accessing pool towels, she went out of her way to pop them by the pool for us while we settled into our gorgeous room. The room was divine and in keeping with the vibe of the motel. We met Lynn on our way out for breakfast and she enquired if we were happy with our stay. She was genuine and delightful. A fabulous ambassador for The Med. We were chatting and expressed interest in the Penthouse. Lynn welcomed us to have a look. She took time to show us around and point out options also within the rest of the property. We are now planning a return trip with friends

We really enjoyed out one night stopover here. Loved the decor and design. Loved the cactus garden too. Bed & shower were great, loads of room in the room and the bathroom. Everything was clean & in good working order. We asked for a quiet room, and got room 11 which was completely quiet. Granted there weren't too many others staying here at the time. If a group had been using the BBQ area it might have been a different story. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs & loved the convenience of having somewhere great to eat on site, since this was just a stop over for us. I wouldn't stay here for a long time, or if I was after a beach holiday, but it was perfect for what we wanted.
