Phong Nha Farmstay

Easily the best place we've stayed in Vietnam! It feels like the sort of place where they've thought of everything - the rooms are absolutely stunning, decorated to a high standard, with comfortable beds, AC, hot water showers and thoroughly cleaned. The grounds and the view of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. Charming restaurant with a lovely a**osphere. Staff were really friendly and helped us with all sorts - excursion to the caves with car and driver, laundry, onward bus tickets, bikes, and a trip to the pharmacy - we really felt looked after throughout and a highlight of our trip in Vietnam.

This farmstay is a wonderful place to experience closeness to nature. With beautiful scenery near the rice fields, you have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking sunset. The pool is beautiful and refreshing, surrounded by trees, creating a close connection with nature. The food here is not only delicious but also reasonably priced, especially the chicken pie that will make you want more. The rooms are beautiful and clean, providing a comfortable feeling. The staff is friendly and professional, always ready to assist you. You can also use bicycles for free from the farmstay to explore the surrounding area. It's a fantastic experience for a memorable vacation.

So glad we found this place it was the best place we stayed in our 2 week tour of Vietnam. We had a 2 storey, 2 bedroom house with a pool for our family of 5, was amazing, clean and huge! The kids loved the army jeep rides, the pool table and yummy food which catered for all - from traditional to Western. The knowledge and help to plan our days from Ben was most appreciated. Definitely stay here for at least 3 nites and explore the area. Great spot for off the beaten track, with lots of adventures which our teenage boys loved.

This is a truly unique experience which we highly recommend. We spent three nights using the Farmstay as a base from which to explore the spectacular National Park on several treks with local guides. And at the end of each day we were delighted to return to such a comfortable room and friendly staff. It's also very well located to explore the Bong Lai valley region (using bicycles from the Farmstay) - a wonderful half-day trip of cycling through the verdant countryside, swimming and eating incredible grilled chicken. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable about the area and checked in with us over breakfast each morning and offered invaluable advice on getting the most out of our day. And the brilliant Farmstay staff go above and beyond to help you out with plans/navigating the region. Wonderful!

It is like home, a welcoming place, doors and hearts open. Vietnam and Australian combined friendliness and warmth. Ben an Bict are a good team! Thanks for having us. It was toooooo quick.. Cheers and successful year for you. See you in Switzerland or in Brasil Inez and Thomas

We stayed with 2 young kids in one of the Villas away from the main compound. The accommodation is very nice, with the pool overlooking the rice paddies, and good value. The owners and the staff have been amazing, with us and especially with the kids. The food is great! It’s a very special place and definitely a class higher than anything in the area.

The restaurant is fabulous, great place to just hang out and take in the surrounds, plus food is excellent. The hotel provides awesome service including on activities in the area. The villas are clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Spent three nights at Phong Nha farmstay. We were a little disappointed at first as our room lacked a few amenities we had expected( e g no coffee making facilities in room, dodgy shower and a bed that was way too hard for us). However, on mentioning this to one of the ladies at reception she arranged to move us to a beautiful villa for remainder of stay. This was one example of the excellent service we had from the whole staff at the resort. In particular, I would like to mention Kaylin who was amazingly helpful and friendly and whose beautiful smile brightened up every day. Kaylin persauded us reluctant oldies to venture out on back of easy rider scooters to Paradise cave. What an amazing experience, riding along misty mountain roads with impenetrable jungle on all sides to a cave that us too awesome to describe but can't be missed. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the pleasant surroundings allowed for many a chat with other guests. If you get the chance to talk with Veronica, the owners mother, do so. She is so knowledgeable about the history of surrounding area. Overall, we would love to stay there again but would book a villa if our budget allows it.
