I’ve been visiting Dehradun for my official work for almost a decade now & have been staying at different properties in the city. This time I skipped my stay at a regular hotel(nice property) & decided to stay at Hotel Deepshikha. My observations are mentioned under: * Location of the property is good on the main Rajpur road(opposite Secreteriat) & close to the happening place Ashley Hall. * Staff & Service is very good * I chose to stay in the Executive room which can accommodate 2 adults & 1 kid without extra bed(though I didn’t find a room to fit the same ) * As the interiors are aged out & a fresh coat of paint is required * Bathroom is pretty small with a tiny shower area embraced in the corner-one has to be cautious while taking bath as you could hit the edges of ash basin which is pretty big, the tiles & bathroom fittings have worned out-need repair/replacement. *Room service is good * The property has an in-house kitchen with a wide variety of food available- bit costly but good. * Try booking your stay directly with the hotel & do negotiate for the price * Due to ongoing work by the authorities on the road & continuous moving traffic, it was a difficult task for me to get a sound sleep- I would suggest to go for backside rooms
