Dove Meadow

Booked for 1 night before working at the nearby JCB headquarters. The chalet was so cosy, with a little kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom. Coultn't fault anything. Breakfast delivered to my door the night before as I had an early start. It's only a shame I wasn't here for longer with my family. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. Thank you

Stayed here with husband and 2 children aged 13 and 11. Had read reviews here and was really looking forward to our visit. Our accommodation wasn’t in the house but a chalet type building next to the house. This gave us added privacy which we enjoyed. John was a lovely host. Very friendly and informative. They have some rescue cats and a lovely wee rescue dog called Poopy who my wee girl loved. They played in the front garden with Poppy and a ball. We were at Alton Towers most of the first day. This accommodation is only 10 mins away if the traffic is behaving itself. John had directed us to a good fish and chip shop for our evening meal. We slept in the sofa bed and the kids had a twin room towards the back. It’s very cosy, clean and with all the things you’d need to make an evening meal or packed lunches etc. Breakfast was superb. Kids were offered pancakes which they loved. The second morning we dined al fresco on the decking area. Views are stunning. Would return and would highly recommend.

We stayed in the cabin for a 5 night stay whilst visiting Alton Towers. The cabin was clean & cosy, with great facilities & wonderful views of the surrounding countryside & beautiful garden area. The hosts were super friendly, helpful & very accommodating. Our fridge was thoughtfully stocked with fresh milk and OJ, and we enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast every morning delivered directly to our door at a time that suited us. The hosts were more than happy to provide a wide array of alternative breakfast options, and it was great to see (& taste) the use of locally sourced produce. The cabin benefits from a lovely private seating area - ideal for a nice glass of wine after a long day out - and has everything you need to make the most of your stay (all the mod cons, plus smart TV, hair dryer, fans, family games, books to enjoy & more!) Dove Meadow is also fitted with a very reasonably priced electric car charging point, which made our stay even more convenient & shaved a good hour off our travel time. Just bring your own cables along and you're good to go! We came back each day to a friendly welcome and freshly cleaned cabin. The peaceful surroundings are very well suited to those looking for a relaxing retreat after a busy day at Alton Towers or other local attractions. We enjoyed a lovely (& very generously portioned) fish & chip takeaway at a friendly chip shop about 5 minutes away in Rocester. The hosts kindly provided lots of recommendations for dining out & there are lots of pretty local pubs to make the most of the beautiful area. For those wishing to dine in, there are two hobs, fridge, kettle and microwave provided, with plenty of dining ware and utensils. Would definitely recommend!

This place is a Gem. We booked last minute and got the Apple Chalet. It was phenominal. Little private place all to ourselves. Excellent Service from the owner..showed us how to use everything. Had been to Alton Towers for the day and going back the following morning (4miles away) got choice for brekkie and what time to have it. Beaut food. Got a Just Eat delivery on the night also. But the driver did get a little lost and turns out the BnB owner had gotten a call and went down to retrive the driver which we did not expect (we would have gone if they called us) but we thought was so nice. All in all 5* little beauty. All of my family will be booking when going to Alton Towers in the future ❤

We have just spent two wonderful nights at Dove meadows. We stayed in the Apple Chalet. Everything was perfect. From the views and location to the little touches in the chalet. It felt like a real little holiday away. The hosts couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was wonderful too. Its about a 10 minute drive to Alton Towers. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for two nights for a trip to Alton Towers which was not far away at all. We had a double en suite room and had a cooked breakfast both days (with a pancake on one of the days too) and we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. It was clean and in a lovely area with very welcoming hosts. We were very well looked after. We enjoyed two lovely meals out for dinner which were a short drive away.

Amazing, beautifully located views were amazing so peaceful , owners couldn't do enough always asking us if we need anything breakfast provided and catered for specific dietary needs, bedrooms immaculate 100 percent recommend ❤

Lovely location ideal for overnight stay for Alton towers. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Great cooked breakfast with fresh coffee and he offered to do pancakes for my children which went down well. Will definitely stag here again when we go to Alton towers next.

The place is fantastic. 2 day stay because of going to Alton Towers. Beautiful area, perfectly located for Alton Towers (only a 10 minute drive). Dove Meadow itself was so clean, welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. Owners were away and her brother Henry (and grandson George) were looking after the place and he made mine and my partners stay so great. From his service, information on the local area and even going out his way to get my partner some HP sauce for her breakfast was just unbelievable and I spent a little time fishing for newts in the pond with George, it was just perfect little 2 day stay. He made the stay even better for us so massive thank you to Henry (and George of course) he made us feel so welcome. If you are looking for a little short break in the country side or travelling to the area for Alton Towers I highly recommend staying at Dove Meadow. I know the next time I go to Alton Towers, I will be staying here.
