Good clean room and good customer service

The hotel is nice. I practically live in hotels, especially Marriotts. So, I have my fair share of ups and downs. Some of the downs were, there was no soap. I had to go down to the front desk to ask for soap, and i stayed for an entire week straight and they only serviced the room once during the stay. I know some properties nowadays clean or service once every other day now, but once in an entire week is a bit much. Now, you’re getting to the point of needing to ask to replace toilet paper and tissue paper. Not to mention the stockpile of recycling and garbage. Pre-COVID, there was a program that was optional, to have your room serviced once every 3 days or five and you’d get bonus points as the guest. Now, the option is taken away with the hotels saving a great deal of money on not servicing as often, but now you are sacrificing the quality of the institution of the property itself. It’s a Courtyard. However, I recently returned from several weeks in Central America. It was amazing. They’d make animals out of towels, clean the room daily, everything was pristine, breakfast was included and was as great as some breakfasts I’ve had at JW Marriott properties. But Courtyards in the U.S. don’t have breakfast included, not even for Titanium or Ambassador Elite members. So, not all of the same name brand are created equal. I’ve stayed at several Courtyards in California that stand out from the rest. So, it depends. The suite was great. There’s no gym at the moment, it’s under construction. Plenty of parking and tons of things nearby. I’d stay again. But, hopefully they’d address servicing the room more than once a week.

Meh. Beds are super firm, HVAC has a governor so you can't go below a certain temp or above a temp, no extra blankets in the closet, we had to got get them from the desk. Facing a main road and we heard truckers with their jake brakes all night. Interior walls are paper thin so when the neighbors checked in at midnight and had trouble, we heard it all, along with the extended full voice discussion of who would sleep where. In the renovation they are removing the pool, so word to the wise if that is something you want. This is an older building, probably built in the 80s Pluses- clean, recently redecorated, friendly staff, located on a ring road of Frederick and basically less than 10 minutes from anything you are looking for except a drup stores. Was fine, but would not do again.

Stayed two nights this past weekend 10/20-22. Rooms were updated but dark. Very disappointed that there wasn't a coffee/hot water station in the lobby, no breakfast unless you purchased it at their cafe. No microwave in the room but did have a refrig. Since rooms were not cleaned daily there were no additional hot cups or coffee/tea packs. Surprised this was a Marriott.

Arrived at 11 after a 12 hour car ride and all we wanted was a glass of wine to bring back to our room. We got a smug yeah no we just closed it all 11. Okay fine. Next morning we ordered breakfast and the entire staff was completely unfriendly. Twice we said good morning to the staff and got nothing but stares. A simple gesture of kindness goes a long way.

We spent one night at this Courtyard Marriott. It seemed to be in a ‘business park’ atmosphere. It had the amenities that one expects in this Marriott brand. We needed to fill our gas tank before checking in. The road construction in the area made it difficult to navigate. The room was clean and the hotel service were good. There was adequate parking.

Nice staff! Fatima, Vanessa and Jona we’re all so friendly and pleasant with all the guests. Room and public areas were very clean and roomy, well-kept. Breakfast was good, though not free. Rates were not cheap but competitive for the area. But staff made it. I would stay here again!

I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service we received from literally every person with whom we interacted at this hotel. Front desk, manager on duty, Breakfast/Starbucks cafe, maintenance staff - all were so attentive in doing special touches to make our stay and our day :-) Rooms were clean and comfortable as usual - stand out was the kind people! Definitely will be back!

We arrived at the hotel before check-in time, around 11 am, to ask if we could change there since the wedding we were attending was at noon and check-in wasn't until 3 pm. We discovered that I had canceled the room in February but had forgotten. The reception desk clerk, Jessica, could not possibly have been nicer and more helpful about it; she offered to call other hotels to try to find us a nearby room. Less than 10 minutes later we returned to the desk after changing, and in that space of time she had booked us a comparable room next door but had also received an unexpected cancelation, booked us the Courtyard room, and canceled the other reservation she had just made. She did this while juggling incoming phone calls and other guests coming to the desk, and there was never a hint of anything but at attitude warm friendliness and helpfulness. It was really an impressive thing to behold. WE would have certainly been exasperated/irritated with us in this situation, but she was all courtesy and composure. She then let us check in early to the room she just booked for us, so we dropped our bags and made it to the wedding in plenty of time. And btw, the room was lovely and spacious, a ground floor room with a small private patio that opened onto a nice lawn.
