Absolutely fantastic place to unwind, loved the peace and quiet, the food was marvelous, the pool and hot tub just perfect. Most importantly the people were great, nothing was too much trouble and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

I have just returned from a 2 night stay at Spanhoe Lodge, I travelled with my mum and sister as part of my 50th birthday celebrations. We stayed in a triple room. The location is so peaceful, all you could hear were the birds and had lovely countryside views. We had such a good time, the weather was hot so great for spending time in the heated pool and hot tub. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time. There are lots of very comfortable sun loungers and seating areas around the pool, felt we could have been abroad. The room was perfect and had everything in it you could have wanted including milk and bottled water in the fridge, a hospitality tray with a variety of teas, coffees and hot chocolate, plus biscuits! The breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit, pastries, yogurts and also choice of cooked breakfast. We had the full English which was very tasty with good quality ingredients. We were very well looked after by Eileen who was so friendly and chatty, a real asset! The surrounding area is so pretty. We travelled to Stamford about a 20 minute drive away which is a beautiful town full of independent shops, well worth a visit. Would highly recommend a visit here, we will definitely be back.

Excellent Location, So peaceful and relaxing Neil and Reece could not of been more helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is brilliant with a great selection of both cooked and non. Rooms are clean and tidy and great showers Nice selection of drinks from the bar Will be back soon

Only an overnight stay this time.Mainly chose to return as we had our elderly dog with us and the rooms are 'lodge style' with easy access to the grounds. Friendly welcome , rooms are very spacious and this time the bathroom had a separate wet room with rainfall shower. Good choice of teas and coffees in the room + fresh milk in the fridge. Decided to eat in in the evening as we were out in the countryside & didn't want to trail out again. Good choice on menu as there is for breakfast which can be pre- ordered & includes usual choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit toast etc. So, a most comfortable and enjoyable stay, again.Thank you.

What a great find. A warm welcome, a fantastic large and immaculate room, everything we needed, fabulous breakfast and evening meals, great and peaceful location, superb staff. What more could we ask for - we've already booked for Autumn! Thank you so much!

What a hidden little gem! This B&B is so much more than you would expect. Totally guest focused. The staff could not do enough for us and tailored our short stay totally around our needs. The facilities are modern, clean and well appointed. The food was great and the location is perfect. We have already booked up for a second visit!

The hospitality was excellent also the breakfast and evening meals . The rooms were spacious comfortable and very clean. The games room was great, plenty of snooker and darts played. The overall stay could not have been better . A big thankyou to Reece and Neil . We will be back From Cindy & family .

Came to Spanhoe as a couple, we usually stay as a family party which is always great but hectic. This stay was so quiet and relaxing. Reece and Neil were so attentive. Breakfast was different with more choices, freshly cooked to order. We had an evening meal on the second night. There was a limited choice of pub style food but this was no problem. The desserts were superb and the house wine perfectly acceptable. We visited Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford. They were quiet and we only paid to park in Stamford. All great to visit at this time of year. Back again in a few weeks with the family.

Everything has been thought of - from the position of the light switches, through a myriad of facilities, to chocolates on the pillow. Efficient heating makes this a cosy and comfortable place to be, with very spacious rooms, good food and very pleasant service. If only there were more like this ! The rural peacefulness of the location is very welcome, and watching a Red Kite just outside hunting for his breakfast whilst I ate mine was a bonus.
