Fishermans Tavern

Popped in for a couple of drinks and pleased that there were excellent cask ales available. Comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Been a pub for nearly 200 years. They have a hotel next door converted from traditional cottages. Broughty Ferry is a lovely place and the pub is just a short stroll from the waterfront.

Perfect little hotel for visiting the east of Scotland. Beautiful bar for a nightcap, great breakfasts the next morning and a location in Broughty Ferry unsurpassed, just steps from the majestic River Tay. I visit every year and this is my hotel of choice,

Frozen food which is massively overpriced. Had one of the « specials » (£18ish) which was basically frozen fish and scampi. Essentially a very slightly higher quality Weatherspoons when it comes to the food. Exceptionally disappointing.

Comfy cozy rooms, all facilities. Seperate access to rooms so didn't have to trapse through pub with cases. Lovely friendly warm atmosphere, and even though we arrived late, managed to squeeze us in for a lovely meal

Friendly place to stay and a great base for travelling around the area. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. Nice hot shower and a comfy bed ensured a good night's sleep. This appears to be a hotel that cares for its visitors and I would definitely recommend staying here, I will book again when in Dundee

Very bad not nice at all all good not say as it was not happy at all very bad please came in before time and not just have a drink had to have food not good very bad and need improvement so much and let people let them have time

Have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we were made to feel so welcome by every member of staff. We stayed in room 3, it was very clean, lovely decor, cosy and bed very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant one of the nights it was lovely, very filling and all served with a smile. Breakfast was very good also, cooked breakfast very adequate and set you up for the day, loved the toast ! Staff are what makes this place, nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely be back very soon

We chose to stay here in our way to Aberdeen from Edinburgh. Road weary from flying in from the states, we arrived a bit late. The lads in the kitchen fired us up a tasty late meal despite having begun to shut down. We tried to give them a tip, but they wouldn’t hear it. It was so lovely to have a bit of warmth and kindness after a long day. The pub is busy and jammed with locals, which just adds to the atmosphere. The room is simple and clean. Well done, Fisherman’s Tavern. We sing your praises!

Stayed here for my birthday celebrations and it was exeptional fromm booking in to checking out. We had room 5 what a beautiful spacious room with a view of the sea. Staff whre all very friendly and always welcoming. We were not going to eat here for dinner as there were lots of other eating places to choose from but we were glad we did as they have a lovely special board as well as the menus on the table very tasty only thing is I would ask for a larger table when we come back as the two seater table in back restaurant as all tables were booked was cramped but did not spoil the food. Breakfast in the morning was very fresh and served by an excelletn waitress who was most accomodating but sorry I cant mind your name though to be honest would be a shame to name one member of staff when all were excellent. First time in Broughty Ferry but when we are definately back again will stay at this hotel again.
