Dairy Barns

What a great B+B just outside the village of Hickling with spacious accommodation which is clean and decorated to a high standard, and is generally a great place to stay being close to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve at "Hickling Broad!" Hanna was a great friendly host who made you feel welcome upon arrival. I will certainly be making a return visit!

Visited with my mum for a couple of nights and had a lovely stay. We stayed in Kingfisher room which had plenty of room, two comfortable single beds and a huge wet room. Our room overlooked a field where we told we maybe able to see some deer, but on this occasion, we weren't that lucky. We had access to a lovely patio at the back and sat there and enjoyed a glass of wine before we went out to eat on our first night. Breakfast was cooked to order every morning (you put your order in the night before) and you had a choice of a full English as well as waffles, fruit, yoghurts etc. Very well situated to see what we wanted to see in Norfolk and there is a local taxi service who we used to take us out on the first night. Highly recommend and would stay here again. Hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area and things to see and do!

We have visited this place before but a few years ago. We remembered it as an excellent place to stay and our memories weren't wrong. Great welcome from Hannah. Our room was great. Really large bathroom with large shower and bath. All very clean. Lovely soft towels and dressing gowns. The lounge area is also large and comfortable. The mezzanine bedroom was also a great space, Bed comfortable. Would have preferred a small wardrobe/hanging space in the bedroom rather than just in the lounge. Breakfast was excellent, choice of cooked traditional or a selection of cereals and fruit or waffles etc. Overall a wonderful experience. We very much enjoyed the local places to visit and would use Dairy Barns again when we return to the area. Thank you Hannah.

It was such a treat to have space to move around, access to an outside patio and separate sitting room. We received a friendly greeting on arrival, shown our room and how to order breakfast. Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked to meet our dietary needs. Our hosts went the extra mile for us and for that we are very grateful

My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic three night stay at Dairy Barns. This was our second visit having stayed there five years ago. This time we stayed in the room called Sunrise. The room was a good size with a kingsize bed and was pleasantly situated overlooking the courtyard everywhere was spotlessly clean. There were tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished daily and even two enormous slices of Victoria sponge cakes in our room on our arrival. Hanna was extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. You selected what you wanted for breakfast the day before and also the time that you would like to eat. The dining room was pleasantly furnished and decorated. The breakfast consisted of a wide range of items including cereal, fresh fruit or the usual full English. The service was first class and Hannah's mom was a wealth of local information and was always eager to show you places to visit. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend Dairy Barns.

When you book something online you never quite know what you're getting but what a gem we found in Dairy Barns. Lovely knowledgeable hosts, clean comfy rooms, great breakfasts, and magnificently located for access to the coast and the Broads. Once we'd sampled most of the local eateries, they were quite happy for us to bring in a take-away one evening, an unusual and welcome touch. The lovely friendly a**osphere permeated the building and the other guests - no sitting in silence over breakfast as in other places. We'll be back..

Wonderful short break, bright comfy spacious room with everything we needed. Friendly staff and Hannah was particularly knowledgable about the local area which was invaluable when only visiting for short time. Fabulous breakfast! Thank you we will definitely be back.

Thank you to Hannah and her team for a amazing stay at Dairy Barns. I stumbled across this wonderful place on line and booked 2 rooms for ourselves and some friends. Rooms are spacious, warm, cosy and well stocked with tea, coffee etc. an added touch was the lovely cake on arrival. There is a lovely lounge for guests to use which was an added benefit. The food was good quality and very tasty, with a large variety available. The staff were friendly and had a really good knowledge of the local area and interesting things to visit and explore, also a well stocked table with details of local walks etc. We would highly recommend a stay at this b&b.

I cannot thank Hannah enough for her amazing hospitality on our weekend stay in Norfolk. It was our first time exploring Norfolk and she had a wealth of knowledge on the area and things to do. If you are considering staying here.. please do! You won't regret it. Hannah even added some treats for us on arrival ❤️ Horsey and sea palling are a stones throw away and the Norfolk Broads aren't too far away in the car either! Stunning location for a quiet weekend away. We stayed in the swallows nest, which was topped off nicely with breakfast in bed! We will be returning again because it was a beautiful stay!
