My 3 friends and I recently stayed in the Summerhill house hotel for one night and we got a great deal on a dinner, b&b & trea**ent in the Rainforest Spa package. It was a beautiful little hotel, and the food and service was excellent. We had a lovely trea**ent in the spa & even bubbles in the spa. Our triple room was lovely too & the beds were really comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here. Great location

Stayed overnight with Breakfast next morning. Has a fantastic sleep. Everything was so clean with a lovely a**osphere. Candles lighting everywhere and lights in the outside trees. Wished I was staying longer. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast was amazing with wide range of food.Hope to visit again soon.

I was a little iffy about staying here because there’s so many bad reviews. But it seems that they’ve paid heed and made improvements. I had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff were so friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and very comfortable (I stayed in the hotel). I got one of the special deals and felt that I had received fantastic value for money. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was fab. Highly recommend! My only wish is that the bar would open up a bit earlier. But I didn’t have an issue with this because I was able to order drinks from reception which was conveniently charged to the room.

This is a beautiful hotel, just on the outskirts of Dublin. It’s very easy to get to and the hotel and its grounds are in a beautiful rural location. Staff, bedrooms, food all excellent. Loved our break there!

Shocking! Let down ! 9 of us book a hotel months and months ago - to arrive and say they haven’t got a room for any of us due to other guests deciding to stay another day - the best they could do was send 6 of us away to stay in another hotel separately! Offered us a complimentary drink which we ordered but had to wait for every other guest to be served - rude, unhelpful - now we have a party of 9 staying in two hotels - asked if we could have breakfast together … you guessed it … the answer was No! We booked this 4 months ago and told this on the day after hiking for 10 hours!! Not amused - please do not book with this hotel - or if you do - be prepared for a let down !

Very pretty converted large Victorian house. Rooms spacious and comfortably furnished in a traditional style. Large modern bathroom. Large car park and out door sitting spaces. Plenty of places to sit indoors too. Dinner was nice but a daily special would greatly enhance the menu. Breakfast had many choices and was constantly restocked. The terrace restaurant( no windows) was well decorated and used mirrors well to cover the fact it was a fully internal room . Easy walk in nice weather into village and to Powerscourt. Only bad thing was at the back of the hotel is some family accommodation . Permanent residents as We saw children being taken to school in the mornings. Both nights the non English speaking adults were socialising outside under our window and the laughter and talking went on to 11.30 pm. Luckily the second night it rained so they all went indoors by 10pm. It appears to be a regular occurrence so surely hotel management could ensure they are quiet by 10pm even on a nice evening.

This was our first trip to Ireland and we were not disappointed. We travelled as part of a coach party. We were on the 3rd floor but there is a lift so no problem. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage, was clean and tidy and kept that way during our stay. Thankyou to the cleaning staff. We had three windows with beautiful views of the hills and sea. There was lots of choice for our evening meal and breakfast. There was a fantastic selection for the cold buffet breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our 4 night stay, Thankyou.

Best breakfast ever in a hotel. Staff were most helpful and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. The overall experience was way above and beyond expectations. All of our family who stayed there for a number of nights would highly recommend this hotel. We will return for a weekend break.

We stayed in Summerhill Lodge and Spa as the location was close to Powerscourt House and Demesne, where we were attending a family wedding. The seasonal decor was amazing, tasteful with lots of fresh flowers. The hotel (like a counrty home) was warm, beds and pillows were comfortable, lots of hot water appreciated. It was snowing outside! Breakfast was an absolute treat, serves by pleasant, efficient staff. We will stay here again.
