Booked pretty much last minute as we needed somewhere to stay with our dog it's a beautiful place and really quiet Frances couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and we’ll definitely be back.

My husband and myself stayed for 2 nights in this fabulous Inn. Martin, Frances, and their daughters were such gracious hosts. They not only provided nice conversations, delicious breakfasts, beautiful rooms, but Frances and her family went above and beyond by calling a gallery in County Sligo where my ancestors came from to let them know we would be going there to find pottery and a beautiful art piece! They provided directions and information on attractions we were interested in visiting. I cannot praise this family enough!

This is a very welcoming, spotlessly clean, first class guesthouse, and we'd highly recommend it as a base to see Fermanagh and Leitrim. Spacious bedrooms, lovely toiletries and fluffy towels plus dressing gowns for use - and a delicious home cooked breakfast in the morning. We've stayed several times and will return again. We had an extended family dinner there once and it was beautifully cooked and served with a smile. Lots of space for the kids to play around plus a chance to learn the tin whistle if you are inclined. Five stars from us.

Just home from a mini me - time break in the Melvin Country House. Amazing what you can find at your doorstep if you look, no long car journeys or traffic jams, no queuing at airports and long flights. This guest house is home from home, I was greeted with a warm welcome, room was perfect for my needs, scrumptious breakfast served in my room. Looking forward to my next stay Thank you

We have just arrived home from a short stay with the lovely Frances and Martin in Melvin Country House, Garrison. This place is a hidden gem and I honestly cannot fault any aspect of our time there. The en-suite rooms are spacious, comfy and immaculately clean. Breakfast can be served in your room if you choose but we opted to have ours in the dining room where we given a tremendous welcome and a fabulous breakfast. The house is situated amidst stunning scenery yet there is a wonderful feeling of tranquility. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend the accommodation. There is text in the hall to the effect of arriving as strangers and leaving as friends. This is certainly how we felt. Wonderful place!!

We received a wonderful, warm welcome from animal loving hosts. All rooms are in a separate wing which is really great. Loved our huge room and en-suite wet room. Beds were so comfy giving us a great nights sleep. Breakfasts were freshly made and delicious. Our dogs were welcomed and even got treats and brekkie! Situated on the border at Garrison in Fermanagh it has easy access to at least 4 counties in Ireland earns Melvin Country House top marks for being a great central point for sightseeing. Don’t miss out on the gem in the heart of the countryside.

In June 2022 I had an occasion for a celebration which entailed guests ranging in age from 6 months to late 70s. Melvin Country House for me was the perfect venue for this celebration. A warm, welcoming and homely a**osphere, where all aged were catered for. Menu for food offered lots of choice and was excellent. It allowed for entertainment for the children and for the adults an opportunity to watch an exciting match of Garlic Football in TV, the order of the day! In all Frances and her team are great hosts. I've just had 2 nights at this fabulous hotel and can't rate it highly enough. The room was enormous and spotlessly clean and the owners and their family were incredibly welcoming. I arrived at 9PM on a motorcycle in wet weather and whilst I was unloading my luggage the owner made me a very welcome cup of tea accompanied with some lovely biscuits. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The property is in the most beautiful location, an area I visit relatively regularly. From now on this will be my go to place when I come to Fermanagh: I have already recommended it to some friends who may be coming this way.

Frances amd Martin were the most amazing hosts. Friendly chat and craic, fabulous breakfasts, and a large comfortable room. Offer of a lift to amd from the local pub. A real home away from home, this small family hotel is highly recommended.
