While dated, the hotel was built more than a half-century ago, rooms reflect the care that era afforded guests. My room was surprisingly large with a separate low table and lounge chairs. I liked the non-slip tile panel in the shower, an unheard of safety feature in Indian hotels I stayed at. The niche for the coffee maker was comfortably placed at chest level separate from the desk. Usually the desk is crowded with the hot water, kettle, phone, water bottles and the like, limiting the available work space. Not so here. The restaurant is famed for the biriyani and very popular with local residents despite a higher pricing. Overall I had a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful family owned art deco hotel in the heart of Ernakulam and only a short tuk tuk ride away from the boat jetty to Fort Cochin. The staff was polite and attentive but the restaurant was the highlight serving amazing food from an extensive menu. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and although it faced the main road, the sound proofing was incredible.

I stayed with my family at the Hotel on 6th to 8th Dec'23 in Room no.103 & 104.Shocking all the taps in bathroom were giving hot water.Complained ***y times to Hotel,but they couldn't repair,on 8th didn't take bath & checked out.Paid Rs.5000 per room/ Night.The reception were not apologetic at all.Would never stay in this Hotel or recommended.

Comfortable hotel close to the waterfront and shops. Room spacious and clean . Busy for lunch. Hotel extremely helpful when I left an electronic device in our room on departure. They contacted us in a different area , and then arranged a taxi transfer after carefully packaging it. Most efficient and appreciated.

We loved the food here as well as the ambiance. Gets very crowded over the weekends, so if it's lunch, you are gunning for need to go early by 12ish. The restaurant is crowded and the waiting area is full! The price is average. Also, they have a counter selling scrumptious bakery items.

Grand hotel can be a hotel of choice for the following reasons: 1. Friendly front office staff 2. Spacious room 3. Strategic location at the city 4. Great breakfast 5. Fast service 6. Easier to pick a rickshaw to go around 7. Nearby a nice park 8. Very near to Ernakulam boat jetty to enjoy a boat ride 9. Helpful security guards All in all, a fantastic choice!

Visited Kochi for "Kerala Travel Mart" The hotel was booked by the organizing committee. I must say that the hotel is well maintained being built in 1963. The ambiance of the rooms are totally made of wood, furniture, bed & flooring too. Room sizes are bigger than any hotel rooms. USP of the hotel is their food. I wos told by my industry friends that not to miss the food there its one of the best in Kerala, And yes indeed i had ordered for their specialty seafood " Fish Karemi (Pearl Spot)" hmmm it was mind blowing , the breakfast was also different each day. I stayed for 4 Days had a very good experience. And yes i would like to thank The GM . Mr. James, Chef Rajesh,Front Office Mr. ***u and the Housekeeping team and restaurant team for giving their best services and living up to the expectations and maintaining the standards and quality . Once again thank you very much for all the help and support from the team. I definitely recommend this hotel to my corporate and travel industry friend its a must stay . best place for lunch and dinner fine dinning hotel for family always crowded pls go in advance so waiting is less. best chicken biryani and beef dry , best fish curry meals , good egg curry and ****tha, also good deserts , costly hotel on a average 3 people bill will be 2000

Food is tasty. Restaurant is large and neat. Number of wash basins are two only and are placed in a small room. If two persons are there in front of basins we have to stand behind the door. The food ordered was supplied after a long wait. Then the supplier disappeared and again came back after another long gap to see whether I am in need of further stuffs. To tender the balance cash he took another long gap.
