Anniversary celebration. Our focus was on the food experience which was superb. We opted for a Superior room and whilst nicely decorated and comfortable, we felt it was a very small room and en suite and therefore overpriced. However, this didn't deter us from thoroughly enjoying the food experience. Staff very friendly and attentive.

My wife and I booked a night at Farlam Hall at each end of a driving holiday to the Scottish Highlands as a “pit stop”. The Highlands was supposed to be the star of the show with bookings at some luxury hotels / eating destinations. Farlam Hall changed all of that. The levels of service and friendliness created an instant atmosphere of relaxation and luxury. The quality of the tasting menu, from the outstanding ingredients to their presentation and serving by the waiting staff, surpassed most other restaurants in which we have dined, including those with more Michelin stars. A supremely comfortable night in a suite (we had the same room for both of our 1-night stays) and a warm, friendly and efficient check-out. The only thing missing was enough time for us to explore the local walks and Hadrian’s Wall - so we shall be back! Thank you to the whole team at Farlam Hall. You are the benchmark for a luxury stay in the U.K. Well done.

Farlam Hall is an outstanding hotel. The grounds are lovely, and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our stay very memorable. We dined in Bistro Enkel on the first night, and the food was fantastic. On the second night, we had the tasting menu in the Cedar Tree Restaurant, and that meal was exceptional, a highly recommended experience.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff at every level. Food exceptional and memorable. Privileged to have travelled extensively and eaten well elsewhere - this was top of the list. Walked out with the key and was able to drop off in Carlisle for collection snd where my family live. Look forwrad to returning soon - Many Thanks Robert & Sue

Before arriving the communication was very good to ensure all my needs were being accommodated. Our room was a small suite with large bathroom allowing relaxing away from lying in the bed. Delicious food in the bistro (Sun-Tues) and excellent service.

A wonderful welcome by the lovely team at Farlam Hall, we were taken to our room for the night, a Junior Suite which was a complimentary upgrade, it was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, the room was immaculately clean, very stylish and big, a real shame we were only staying for one night!

Perfect ten for Sunday lunch. We couldn’t finish all the veg sadly as we were full! Amazing taste profiles. Great staff and location. Great value . Receptionist amazing. Lovely building and gardens. Faultless in every way. Many thanks for such a welcome

The visit to Farlam Hall Hotel and Restaurant was spectacular in every way. The staff were friendly helpful and efficient in everything that they did for us during our visit. The food and wine was amazing and absolutely lived up to the Michelin Star rating for Rishi the Chef Patron. The food was a Work of Art. The Hotel itself was endearing comfortable and welcoming with lovely decor and surroundings ..... so peaceful tranquil and relaxing with lovely facilities. This was really the only hotel we have ever stayed that we would return to in a heart beat. Thank you to Rishi and all the team. Terry & Jane.

Farlam Hall and Restaurant scores 10 out of 10 in all areas. Meticulous attention to detail everywhere. Truly inventive and exciting cooking and incredibly high levels of service. The staff actually care (a rare experience these days). A special shout-out for Katie who is the super-helpful, super professional front of house.
