Albergo Del Chianti

This was our first time in Chianti and we loved this hotel. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. The restaurants in the area were fabulous. If we’re in the area again, we’ll definitely stay here! Thank you for your hospitality.!

We have had the pleasure of staying at Albergo del Chianti several times over the years. The recent 100 % purchase of the property by the Belgian “Buys” family (a family who previously vacationed at the hotel and own a significant winery in the area) has enhanced the property while maintaining the personal warmth and elegant comfort of the place that it had been known for. Indeed, the young couple managing the hotel (daughter and son-in-law of the owner) go out-of-their-way to make all guests feel so very welcome. The Albergo no longer has an on-site restaurant (they do need to update the website), but the many fine restaurants in the area do not leave you short of options (try La Cantina around the corner and down the street!) The Saturday market - held literally out the front door of the hotel - is a fun way to spend a “down day”, and you can finish with a dip in the beautiful swimming pool in the very private grassy courtyard behind the hotel. (Do NOT park on the top floor of the elevated parking lot down the street on Saturday/market day, as they will tow your car!……that’s another story for another day) Can’t wait to return!

Situated right on the square (Triangle!) run by a lovely couple who have recently taken it over. Restaurant is closed but numerous others nearby. Breakfast is buffet style but no hot options. Room was clean but ours at the front and with the market on Saturday there was a lot of noise early on. Parking is a problem as square is closed off at times so need to park in a pay car park.Stephanie very helpfull with any problems .

Hotel deludente... Siamo arrivati alle 17 la ragazza della reception ci ha comunicato che la piscina era chiusa quando doveva chiudere alle 19 come previsto praticamente non abbiamo usufruito del servizio pagato Stanza orrenda . La porta della stanza coperta per un quarto dalla porta tagliafuoco dell' ascensore praticamente apri la porta e per passare devi evitare di prendere in faccia quella dell ascensore bloccata davanti . arredamento vecchio materasso scomodo ti allunghi e sprofondi al piano di sotto. Appena entrati il cestino del bagno non era stato svuotato dai rifiuti dei precedenti inquilini mancava l asciugamano da bidè ..l aria condizionata fa un rumore talmente forte che abbiamo dovuto spegnerla durante la notte . Colazione buona Costo 140 euro ..basiti Sconsigliato

Das Hotel liegt schön in diesem Ort. Parkieren kann man ausser am Samstag auf dem Platz. Es gibt auch ein Parkhaus. Dort ist nur mit Münzen zu bezahlen. Die Zimmer sind klein. Leider hört man die Leute im Nachbarraum oder Gang. Ansonsten ist das Personal sehr freundlich. Gut essen kann man im Gallo Nero.

Ottimo hotel, a partire dallo staff sempre cordiale e disponibile, pulizia ottima, posizione in pieno centro, piscina privata perfetta per godersi relax e quiete. Molti parcheggi in zona, sia gratuiti che a pagamento. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato!

Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen. Mijn oom moest zijn auto door de smalle, steile straatjes heen manoeuvreren en er werd gezegd waar hij deze in de buurt kon parkeren. De ligging vlakbij het plein is wel ideaal. Het hotel zelf heeft echt z’n beste tijd gehad, vooral de tapis plein op de vloer was echt vreselijk. Ik heb ze zelf niet beleefd, maar waande me in de jaren 70. ’S Nachts had iedereen van ons gezelschap last van zijn of haar ogen, zelfs diegenen die daar normaal geen last van hebben. Kapotte/afgesleten deurstijlen, dingen die los van de muur hingen, en vieze plakkerige stoel, oude lift, … Zelfs ik vond de douche erg klein en ik ben niet groot van gestalte, ik vroeg me af hoe mijn nonkel zich überhaupt daarin heeft kunnen wassen. Het ontbijt vond ik wel goed geregeld en de coronamaatrdegelen werden gerespecteerd. Vooraf moest je uw handen ontsmetten en een handschoen aandoen. Er was ook veel keuze bij het ontbijt, zelfs verse honing. Wat ik ook heel goed vond was dat je de confituur in eetbare bakjes kon doen in plaats van al die plastic bakjes die je overal in andere hotels ziet, echt vreselijk vervuilend. Dus voor het ontbijt zeker wel een plus, gezien de staat van het hotel zelf had ik dit niet verwacht. Familie had dit hotel voor ons geboekt, zelf zou ik hier niet voor kiezen.
