Red Lion Dunston

We arrived on Saturday 25th November and were quickly shown to our chalet style accommodation number 5 by a very helpful gentleman. The room was well equipped with tea/coffee and bottled water and had a decent sized wall hung television. The bed was fairly comfortable and we had a peaceful good night's sleep. There were a few minor things we were slightly concerned about.... The shower door was a struggle to open/close and when opened can hit the basin. There was a little bit of mould in the shower and the water wasn't very powerful however we enjoyed our stay. We left the following morning early without breakfast handing our key in as we left. Ideally situated for Lincoln and Woodhall spa, the former being 7 miles away. A lovely pub with nice accommodation in a pretty village. Visited 25th November 2023.

Fabulous stay in our chalet style room, loads of space and super comfortable. Very clean, light and airy. Towels were lovely and smelt fresh. Felt very homely. Had a fish and chip supper in the pub across the courtyard from our room which was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also served in the pub. A delicious full English breakfast with orange juice, tea and toast. Fantastic host and staff.

Clean, comfortable self-contained room opposite the pub. (No 1) Twin beds and plenty of space. Hangers/storage etc. Separate bathroom with shower. TV. Kettle/coffee. Ideally convenient for the pub. Parking right outside the room too. Friendly landlord & staff. We were having a post-wedding family get-together drinks for circa 35 people in the pub. Aged from 8-70. Looked after impeccably by Megan throughout the day. A total star. Hardworking, efficient, and dealt with all requirements with a smile. A credit to the Red Lion. Friendly locals too. Great day and a very pleasurable stay. Will definitely use again.

You need to update your opening times on Facebook! Very misleading information on there at present regarding your opening times. Link on Facebook to your website doesn't take you to the right place either. Very disappointed to find out closed after our walk this morning.

We had a 2 night stay here while we were visiting the area. Booked it fairly last minute and we had a lovely stay. John, the landlord, was so nice from the minute we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was lovely-spacious and airy twin room, with tea and coffee making facilities. Nice big shower room with fluffy towels and toiletries. Plenty of space to hang clothes and stash luggage. Very comfortable and warm, no noise from other rooms. Plenty of easily accessible parking. Breakfast was lovely-full cooked breakfast with plenty of tea and toast. Had a couple of drinks both nights-good selection in the bar and John makes you very welcome. It’s the kind of pub you’d want as your local. Village is very pretty and quiet. Good for plane spotters as Waddington and Coningsby are nearby. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again. Stayed at the red lion 20/08/22. Accomadation was of a good size. Bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The host was very welcoming and we had a lovely tasty breakfast . All in all a very pleasant stay!

Room was spotless, very comfortable and spacious. John is a fantastic host and very helpful, breakfast was perfect. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone. Located in a lovely village.

Set in a beautiful village the Red Lion has its own large courtyard between the historic pub itself and the accommodation rooms. Our host went above and beyond to meet our various requests and his friendliness and helpfulness helped to make our stay particularly enjoyable. We thoroughly recommend a visit and we hope to stay there again when we are next in the area.

John & Sam are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly, helpful & attentive. The food was amazing (we had evening meal & full English breakfast). The rooms where cosy & very clean with tea & coffee make facilities in the room, the beds very comfortable, the shower worked well. The grounds & outside seating area where very nice, we was lucky enough to have sunshine during our stay and so enjoyed a few drinks on the seating terrace. Perfect stay! The locals where also very welcoming in the pub. I would recommend the Red lion for a stay, a meal or just call in for a drink or two, John & Sam will certainly make you feel very welcomed. 5* all round
