Residenza la Musa Amarcord

We had a lovely stay and Ambra could not have been more helpful and friendly and gave us great recommendations for our stay. This is a small boutique hotel in a stunningly renovated old space that retained its natural beauty but with stylish upgrades amidst that. This is in a quieter area of Florence but it’s very close to many key sights and right by the river. Maybe 5 min walk to Uffizi or Santa Croce and many other sights only a lovely and scenic 10-15 min walk (Duomo) and train station (20 min) . We had one of the most basic rooms and even that was lovely with a nice window overlooking Florence rooftops. A great value and just a beautiful quiet space all around Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience at this simply great hotel. Nice room with large comfortable bed, well appointed with modern upgrades. Kitschy, cool vibe and design touches throughout common areas and bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, and all entry/check-in process worked smoothly. Location is perfect for walking everywhere throughout the city center, as well as across the river. Definitely worth booking.

The hotel is perfectly located—on a quiet street in the heart of the city center. It is stunningly beautiful and the service is prompt and gracious. We had a minor mechanical issue in our room (likely caused by our ignorance to Italian systems) and the concierge had it remedied before we return from our from our museum tour. The hosts truly want each guest to have a wonderful stay.

Unbeatable location and the most important thing is the excellent attention of the hotel administrator. Residenza La Musa Amarcord is a true example of excellent hospitality exceeded my expectations.Thank you for making our time in Florence perfect; we can’t wait to return.

No words will do this place justice. It's a gem. It has been so cleverly restored and decorated to perfection. There is thought behind every detail and object. Photos don't do it justice. The a**osphere is beyond expectations. And so is the incredible breakfast. The room itself (we stayed in the superior) had a large shower, different pillows depending on your preference, firm but not stiff/hard bed, easy temperature management and cosy lighting. We lacked nothing. Last but not least what makes this the ultimate place to stay is Ambra and Pamela that were a delight to encounter every day. We received personal message prior to arrival and a handwritten personal note to thank us as we left. I would come back in a heartbeat

Such an absolutely lovely hotel. This place is really special both in its a**osphere and attention to detail but also the wonderful staff. We've been spoiled by the delicious breakfasts served daily in the downstairs dining area. Can't decide which I liked more the dining room decor or the breakfast choices. Starting off the day with the prettiest and most delicious cappuccino and following it up with all sorts of sweets, cakes, pastries, ham & cheese, cereal, quiche, yogurt, scrambled eggs and bacon (and I am not remembering it all). All of this is served on the prettiest mismatched china you've ever seen -- very boho, shabby chic! Our room was the one with the "oven" that now houses a flat screen TV. Love how they've maintained the original character and also repurposed some older elements. Our shower was large and had good water pressure. I also luxuriated in a soaking tub with some lovely bath salts that the hotel gifted us. I also loved the hotel artwork that included antique photos and original portraits of various people. Right outside our room there was a lovely portrait of a young girl with the most beautiful blue eyes. I enjoyed seeing her during our comings and goings!

This small boutique hotel in beautiful Florence is an absolute stunner! Perfect location moments from the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio but none of the noise and traffic. Our deluxe double room was immaculate and serviced daily, with a huge, luxurious bathroom and plenty storage space. Breakfast was a delight, like stepping back into a bygone era all the china so elegantly mismatched and charming. The food itself was fresh, delicious and certainly plentiful. All the staff were friendly and pleasant and so very helpful; we had restaurant reservations made for us and it was no bother to leave our luggage after checkout and pick up later in the day - we were even able to use a washroom to freshen up before our journey. We would go back in a heartbeat and cannot wait to do so!

This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time. The attention to detail and high level of customer service was superb. This boutique hotel in a lovely old building has just eight rooms - all individually decorated with lots of original touches. We had reserved a deluxe room which had a very large luxurious bathroom and a mezzanine featuring an old telescope! A well equipped minibar was also offered as the hotel bar was not functioning. Although at the time we were the only guests in the hotel (Florence had only just opened up after the covid lockdown)we were given a full buffet breakfast by Christina : fruit salad, cakes, pastries, breads, jams and fresh juice - breakfast was an experience to look forward to in itself! We arrived by car and the hotel arranged garage parking for us so the car was taken for us on arrival and brought back when we left. The Residenza is perfectly situated in the old centre - a few minutes walk from the Piazza Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio. I would not hesitate to recommend. We enjoyed perfect customer service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Thank you to all the staff!
