Residence Inn Fort Smith

WORST ROOM I have ever seen in a hotel in my 65 yrs . STAY AWAY, holes in carpet, screens off unlocked windows, no deadbolt on room door, mattress on sofa bed had more stains than not stained areas, upholstery on couch stained, bath mat was wet, all furniture was in bad shape, complained at check out and was told someone would contact me, no one has.

Really Good Hotel - GREAT Staff! I would have rated it a GREAT hotel, however, they are doing a major renovation, and I can't wait to go back and see it when it is done! I was disappointed when I arrived, because the guaranteed accessible room I had reserved (three months before my arrival), was on the second floor and the whole second floor was under reconstruction. I complained that I should have been notified so I could have made other plans. The General Manager, Melissa Robbins, was understanding and apologized for the lack of communication and we came to an agreement that I was pleased with. I appreciated her professionalism and kindness. I felt that the Front Desk Staff was extremely friendly, kind and very helpful! Nina and Ash went above and beyond, and they are awesome! Talk about awesome, the Breakfast Attendants! Angela, Taylor and Stan (I may have the last name wrong because I can not read my notes - if so, I apologize, because he was fun and entertaining - a great greeting and smile every day!). My room #313 was recently renovated and it was great: I loved the layout and the comfortable furniture and bedding. There were a few small issues with my shower door being hard to slide and the hot and cold-water lines being reversed, and Shane, the Maintenance Person, quickly addressed and fixed the shower door. He is extremely pleasant and kind! As I said earlier - I can't wait until the renovations are done so I can return to this property. Arkansas Eagle (Mark F)

A terrible experience! One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for it's outdoor pool. The pool was closed. The room was filthy. The bathtub had brown mud stains in it. The carpet looked it had not been vacuumed and was stained all over. I went down to work out in the workout room and the elliptical was broke. 1 star because the bed was comfortable. Never again!

Our room was very clean and the pots and pans were clean and of good quality. The beds were in excellent condition. I am picky, so as I inspected, I saw a decent mattress and clean pillows. Our room was in very good condition! Enjoyed cooking in your kitchen. Left it clean like we found it! Sofa had been attended to, as well. Thanks for your Cleaning staff on details!! QUALITY COUNTS!! We had a poolside room. The pool was well maintained. Your staff is par excellence! Your breakfast servers were great! The food was great, too! TOP DRAWER STAFF and we will return to Ft. As a Platinum Elite member, I was not welcomed as one. As for the Hotel it is a VERY VERY TIRED hotel....... carpet is filthy and the rooms are very tired! Only 1 ice machine and it's on the 1st floor.

We had a pleasant and relaxing overnight here on our way to see family in Mississippi. We appreciated the attentive staff, spacious studio suite, and an Olive Garden just across the back parking lot. Large TV with access to Netflix and other streaming services was a plus. Good breakfast choices. Also liked having handicap parking close to our first floor room. Will stay here again.

The hotel need to decide if it’s going to update or not. It appears stuck in middle. The AC isn’t cooling, which matters in July. The furniture looks like some from the 70’s. The tv’s didn’t work until someone came up & worked on it. The pictures tell the rest. If we were staying longer than one night, we would have to move. I can’t recommend it before it’s fully renovated.

The hotel is nice and homey on the outside, but a train wreck once you get inside. The room we stayed in had missing carpet pieces, a tub and sink that did not drain correctly, and missing light bulbs. We also discovered that the pool and hot tub would not be available to use for the remainder of the summer. This is not what my husband and I expected from a Marriott. The only positive was the location. There are several restaurants close by as well as a grocery store.

I visited this hotel for the first time this weekend with my co-workers. I asked if I could have fresh linen from the front desk and I was told that it would be sent to my room. I never received it. The bathroom had black mold, the floors were dirty, and the walls had something on them that looked like it was a dead bug stuck on the wall. The desk chair was peeling so bad that I could not sit on it. I asked to move to a new room and the room had spider webs with small black bugs in the bathroom and above the bed. Being a Marriott rewards member I expected much more from this property.
