Villa Tuscolana

We celebrated our destination wedding at Hotel Villa Tuscolana together with 80 guests coming from all over the world. In short, our wedding reception at Hotel Villa Tuscolana in Frascati, Italy, was nothing short of magical. Alba and the entire team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. The aperitif in the Italian Garden, the dinner under the gazebo the after-party inside the Villa and not to mention the exquisite food simply exceeded our expectations. The added touch of a breathtaking fireworks show made our day truly unforgettable. All of our wedding guests stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and we have only received positive feedback regarding their experience at the hotel as Villa Tuscolana ensured that all of their requests were met and they had a wonderful weekend stay. We are grateful for the exceptional service and dedication of the Hotel Villa Tuscolana team — thank you for making our wedding day so incredibly special!

We booked this as a ‘cheap’ overnight on the journey between Roma and Sorrento….mainly because we had heard of Frascatti….but really wished we had stayed longer. This place is definitely off the beaten track, but what a find! A great location high on a hill overlooking the surrounding area. Old fashioned charm, but extremely well kept and spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was stunning…and not at all expensive (90Euros for 3 mains and desserts and wine with bread rolls an amuse bush and a glass of Prosecco thrown in). The buffet breakfast was equally generous with a great selection of bread, hams, cheese, fruit and cakes! Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area!

Exceptional location, outside but also inside.. Historical "majestueuse".. Being for the first time during a 31st decembre, I thank again the chef and team for the organisation, the delicious and accurate menu.. All in time no one mistake... All my bravo !

The hotel is a lot less than it looks from outside. The villa looks great and views are nice, but rooms and facilities are below average and service is very poor. Breakfast in particular isn’t great. Going back from town is a very steep long walk that gets you into the complete darkness for a good while. If you come back late enough, they will leave you stranded behind a locked gate. We came a group of colleagues and this issue has affected several of us on repeated days with the stuff not doing anything about it and provoking great distress. They keep claiming there should be another smaller gate that should open but this isn’t true and reading other trip advisor reviews shows that the issue has been ongoing for many years already. In general the reviews are fair, as it also shows it is very difficult to find a taxi in town who would take you from/to there, so my advice is to realise is a hotel of poor value for money and REALLY NOT SUITABLE UNLESS YOU COME BY CAR.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Outside and inside was gorgeous. Rooms are average. Restaurant at the hotel is pretty good. Having wine before or after dinner outside is a great time. Only issue is trying to get a taxi to come to and from the town. It was a very steep walk downhill to the town and uphill back to the hotel. The hotel would not be much help trying to get a taxi unless it was being reserved in advance. They gave us numbers to call but when answered the taxi drivers always said they were busy. They also said the people at the bars would help us get a taxi as well and they would tell us to go to the taxi stop in town, but no one would be there. Other than the transportation to get up and down the hill to the hotel, this was a great place to stay. Breakfast is included.

Lovely looking hotel from the outside, up on a hill with majestic views all around. We stayed in the 'classic' rooms , and these were typical of a Italian villa hotel. Hard beds, and basic furnishings. No aircon in my room, but a ceiling fan overhead. Breakfast was good, so no complaints there. We were a little unlucky, as the hotel venue had been hired on the Friday night for an 'influencer' from Rome , with a disco, and all the trimmings. Even 2 foot thick walls couldn't dampen the sounds, which went on till 2am. There was no notification from the hotel staff that an event was taking place. The hotel staff did apologise and offer a little compensation, but it was an annoyance we could have done without. There is a small bar in the hotel, but it's not staffed , and getting a drink is hit and miss. Overall, it's an impressive Villa, and was in the right location for our trip (a family wedding in Frascati). The classic rooms are a little too basic, and I didn't see the other room options. Would I stay there again? Possibly. But only because it's an impressive looking villa with great views.
