Best Western Premier Villa Fabiano Palace Hotel

We arrived in Calabria about halfway through our 32 day trip throughout Italy. The stop in Calabria (specifically, Cosenza) was intended to be 2 days and to visit family. We initially booked another hotel that was too far away from relatives and, also, did not seem to have the TLC one would hope would be given to a hotel - namely, it looked rundown. So, at the last minute, we had to find another hotel with really only a few hours before the nighttime hit. And, thankfully we found the Best Western Premier Villa Fabiano Palace Hotel. We booked 3 nights and we were not disappointed. If you are going in with an attitude that this will be a hotel of the same quality as a five star you might have stayed in during a visit to Rome or Florence, you will be disappointed but one has to adjust one's expectations when visiting different cities in different regions. So, keeping that in mind, my honest review of this hotel is that I would 100% recommend it when visiting this part of Calabria, without any hesitation. The room was clean (albeit a bit outdated and in need of a fresh coat of paint perhaps) and always attended to well by the cleaning staff. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were excellent - very clean and even ironed! The location was ideal for visiting this area. The front desk staff were very nice and amenable but I have to say what stood out for me was the hotel restaurant - both the food and staff. Our first night we were pressed for time because we had to meet with relatives but we were already running late. We decided to just grab a quick bite at the hotel restaurant so that we didn't waste time trying to decide where to go eat, having just arrived in the area. When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted as though we were walking into a Michelin star establishment. The waiters were superbly dressed and handled every guest in the old fashioned, classy, and professional high class dining style that only few restaurants these days follow. I was immediately pleasantly surprised. Then, the waiter brought us an assor**ent of breads - mini focaccias and buns and breadsticks, all of which were delicious. We ordered a few things from the menu and each dish was wonderful! The following night, we had had a long day of sightseeing and were also feeling a bit under the weather (a cold coming on). The only thing we wished to eat was a bowl of chicken noodle or vegetable soup. I had remembered from the previous night that the only soup on the menu was a creamy mushroom (which I had the first night and it was excellent) but we were definitely in need of some cold remedy kind of chicken noodle or vegetable soup. My partner went down to the reception desk and explained the circumstances. He asked the woman at the hotel reception desk where we would find and buy some soup in the neighbouring area. She picked up the phone, called down to the restaurant and asked to speak to the Chef. She then got off the phone and

La location del Villa Fabiano Best Western Hotel è quella scelta dalla mia azienda per poter effettuare una giornata formativa e approfittare del ristorante Quasimodo per pranzare all’interno della struttura. La sala meeting proposta per l’occasione ha un prezzo accessibile e decisamente competitivo rispetto ai prezzi proposti dagli hotel di Rende e dintorni. Forse il servizio di assistenza tecnica non è veloce e impeccabile ad eseguire le nostre richieste ( un tavolino aggiuntivo e un cavo lan) , ma sicuramente si potrà migliorare. Il pranzo è veloce, puntuale e delizioso ma onestamente troppo alto in quanto a costi (30€ a testa) e quantità di portata. In realtà a fare la differenza è il NON poter scegliere in quanto il menu ci viene praticamente imposto senza alcuna alternativa come in realtà era stato detto telefonicamente durante il primo preventivo. Fatto sta che è comunque tutto buono e di alta qualità! Nelle foto seguenti si noteranno i piatti proposti ( primo, secondo e dessert).

Ho dormito nelle camere al piano terra ed è come dormire in un parcheggio. La finestra non ha oscuranti e qualsiasi macchina che passava, apriva le portiere ect .. mi svegliavo. Le camere sono talmente piccole che il cuscino del letto dista 1 metro e mezzo scarso dalla macchina che ti parcheggia fuori. Doccia piccolissima, 60cm? Ristorante con piatti troppo pasticciati e sproporzionati come qualità prezzo. S.p.A.: piccola e sproporzionata come prezzo. Oltre che una persona si reca alla spa per rilassarsi poi si trova a sentire per 2 ore la musica tecno della lezione di acqua gym. Personale S.p.A. Molto maleducato. L’unica cosa positiva era la pulizia.

Anche loro stanno perdendo colpi, peccato perché la location è bella e il personale molto gentile, ma la stanza sporca particolarmente il bagno, nella spa fanno corsi di nuoto per bambini e la calma di una spa svanita nel nulla . A colazione il tavolo non era x nulla pulito tutto appiccicaticcio, pensavo fosse un caso, ma ho visto alzarsi un cliente dal tavolo di fronte e la cameriera si è limitata a sparecchiare e riapparecchiare senza minimamente pulire il tavolo

Personale gentilissimo.il top nella zona...pulizia e cortesia....da provare la spa con dipendenti qualificati e attenti alle esigenze del cliente. Lo consiglierei a tutti....piacevolmente stupito.ritornero sicuramente nel periodo primaverile

Bella struttura Villa Fabiano :). Complimenti al personale in particolare al ristorante sempre super accoglienti e molto professionali: un vero tesoro avere delle risorse che lavorano così :complimenti a Federica e Salvatore e Delia .

Prenoto online la stanza con accesso alla SPA incluso. Arrivati in struttura troviamo alla ricezione personale cordiale che ci delucida su ubicazione della stanza, della spa e ci comunica gli orari utili. Arrivati alla ricezione del centro benessere comunichiamo al personale il nominativo e chiediamo di illustrarci come muoverci. Il personale ci risponde che l'accesso alla spa era di fronte ma che per noi era incluso anche un massaggio quindi ci chiedono di accomodarci prima nell'apposita sala per iniziare col trattamento. A massaggio iniziato sentiamo bussare forte: un operatrice ci comunica che si sono sbagliati, per noi non c'è nessun massaggio, e al mio "noi abbiamo comunicato solo il nostro nominativo, avete fatto tutto voi." mi viene risposto "Forse nella struttura ci sono altri ospiti col vostro stesso cognome, se volete continuare dovete pagare a parte." Imbarazzo totale, fra noi e le operatrici che ci stavano facendo il messaggio, che con gentilezza ci tranquillizzano, dicendoci di fare con calma e rivestirci non appena "ripresi". Ci rechiamo quindi nella spa, ma anche qui amaro in bocca. pienissima di gente, addirittura la fila per accedere ai vari trattamenti. Vasca idromassaggio sporchissima, docce non funzionanti. Ci trasferiamo quindi in piscina, ma ahimè fredda. Saliamo in camera... polverosa, asciugamani rattoppati, temperatura acqua della doccia non regolabile, arrivava solo tiepida. Scalda asciugamani non funzionante. UNICA NOTA POSITIVA: La colazione ed il personale che la curava. Soldi buttati per i clienti, ma soprattutto per la struttura, che definirei oggettivamente bella, attrezzata, ma mal gestita.
