Palazzo Flora

Palazzo Flora is truly a dream hotel in a great spot in Gallipoli. We were very much charmed by the design and the staff. The room was spectacular. The pool was lovely. It's a stunning hotel. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Everything you need is walking distance. Parking is in the nearby port ( a block and a 1/2 away) and, if you register your car with them, you can park in any of the spots with white lines around them for free! We loved the rooftop bar at their sister hotel, Palazzo Presta. The beach is steps away, as well as the central shopping area and plenty of bars perched above the water. Our little travel dog, @tino-onthescene_o gave it 2 paws up! 🐾

From an interior and architectural point of view, this place is impeccable. With an eclectic interior, filled by beautiful objects and frames. A massive attention to details. Extremely clean and elegant. Truly impressive, however, I would’ve hoped the receptionist was adequate to the same level. The parking instruction was very confusing, we had too many luggage and it was around 10/15 minutes of an unpleasant walk from the parking area to the hotel under the sun. At check out our cards kept getting rejected as the card machine wasn’t responding due to poor wifi, etc.. we ended up paying cash but the receptionist had no change, no cashier and made it very difficult for us. Breakfast was €20 for two but was charged €30 at check out with no explanation. I found the receptionist untrained and unprofessional. What a shame as the rest of the staff were wonderful and helpful.

Fantastic boutique hotel, right in the city centre and near the harbour car park, near great restaurants help staff, and a small pool to cool off at the end of the day lovely decor could not fault anything about the stay

We’ve just checked out of the incredible Palazzo Flora. Wow what a find. Hidden behind a large heavy black door is something really special. Our family suite for 4 people was a duplex suite with veranda straight out onto a little balcony overlooking the gorgeous pool area. The room was amazing. The beds, the bathrobes, the palazzo presta guest box, the bed linen, the decor. Everything was just so perfect. Darla was so lovely in reception & the staff for breakfast in the other hotel palazzo presta were all so helpful & friendly. Breakfast was also good. Omelettes were particularly lovely. Our top dinner was il bastione on the sea front. My only constructive criticism would be parking. We arrived quite late at 7.30pm & My poor husband circled the city for over an hour. Similar to nardo & matera. You are not able to drive in the historic centres. You can drop bags (we did that before) but it’s near impossible to drive out. So a suggestion would be park & walk with bags & hopefully the city will allow the hotel to shuttle guests. But we loved it so much. It’s like a 5 star boutique hotel. To have a private pool in the centre of historic Gallipoli was such a treat. This was a 10/10 find - our family loved it. Thank you to everyone for making it so special.

We booked Palazzo Presto but were placed in a suite in their new hotel Flora, located 100m along the street. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, very arty style and includes a pool which was not only appreciated but amazing for Southern Italy. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, from the moment Vittorio picked us up from the car park to the restaurant staff. We used all the facilities and really enjoyed them. The cocktails at the terrace bar were delicious and our dinner in the restaurant amazing.
