Loch Lomond Waterfront Luxury Lodges

Beautiful shepherd’s hut in spectacular location overlooking Loch Lomond. The guy was compact but spotless with every necessary amenity. It was lovely to open the door to look over the Loch. We loved it there and it was a perfect starting point to walk along the banks of the Loch.

I have nothing negative to say about our stay here. The accommodation is clean, very well equipped and in a lovely location. We loved the attention to detail, the nod to the surroundings in the decor…..even our dogs received a little welcome pack and the towels were much appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed for the two Gousto melas we bought with us and lovely to see that all cleaning/washing products were environmentally friendly. We visited with our two teenage boys - a tough crowd! But even they loved it. The walk to the village takes less than 5 minutes. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Oak Inn and also a coffee at St mochas. We tried to return for lunch but it was full. There are several places to eat in Drymen which is a 5-10minute car journey. We wished we had booked for longer! We have stayed in many self catering places both in the UK and overseas and Drumlanrig is up there near the top. Thank you.

Spacious beautiful lodge with a beautiful view❤️ Great location and fully equipped. Close to pub and beautiful walks. It's located in a beautiful quiet place and it's easy to check in and out of it. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds . Highly recommend this place😊

We stayed in one of the Shepherd’s Huts and had a lovely weekend. Very peaceful and private location, perfect for walking and being outdoors. The hut was really well equipped and had everything you need for a night or two, including for cooking. The bed was also comfy and the shower was great. Perfect upgrade to camping if you want something warmer and fancier for a couple of nights. We also came from Edinburgh using public transport and didn’t have any major issues, so still a good option without a car.

Stunning accommodation in an absolutely beautiful location. Really comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms and showers, well maintained hot tub and bright, comfortable living area. We loved our short stay here, feels like a different world but only a few miles outside Glasgow. The staff were so lovely and we sent on decorations for a birthday celebration which were put up for us arriving. Attention to detail is spot on.

We had a 2 night stay in one of the Shepherds Huts. It was immaculate on arrival, it had everything we wanted apart from a full size kettle! The Wi-Fi was great and we loved the walk down to the beach. Sadly Perch was closed but the local pub and coffee shop were both good and great food. When we stayed it was lovely weather so we were able to sit ouside which could be improved slightly. The bench though great was uncomfortable after a while and needed an outdoor cushion also a table for drinks etc would be good, we didn’t like to drag everything out of the hut outside. Also there’s no privacy, we didn’t mind the odd walker but everyone in the lodges on their decks could see us and the hut next door, we did feel a privacy screen or hedges like the lodges would be a good idea. Overall we had a great stay in a beautiful location.

Just a heavenly retreat. Our 8th visit and will forever come back. Perfect for families and doggies. Warm and cozy surrounded by the most glorious views on the planet. Hidden away yet just 34 minutes from Glasgow. Perfect for hill walking or relaxing in the hot tub.

The definition of Luxury and “Diamond” is open to interpretation. Overall, the lodge is good. Inside: Beddings, towels and robes are provided. Bar of soap is provided. No little shampoo or body wash so remember to bring your own. Washing up liquid, detergent, dish washing tablets are provided. Quite a lot actually. No cling film or aluminium foil, so remember to bring your own. Big large fridge freezer for the family. There is a Nespresso older capsule machine which is great. Would be good to add that to the list of equipment in website so people could buy their preferred coffee capsules before. Lots of bin liner and bags provided. TV was a bit small or perhaps the sofa was far from the TV as it is a decent sized lounge. Steam room downstairs was a novelty but can be advertised. Bedroom upstairs is a bit warm and you’ll need to have the windows and doors open at night. A fan might be a good addition. Outside: Hot tub was well maintained. Kept nicely warm at 38.5. Not sure how to make it hotter but instruction is not to meddle with it. Strange concept of having to use a disposable BBQ. Would be good to have a gas BBQ or electric one provided. Power outlet available outside. Site: Felt secure even though not many staff on site. Parking a bit weird but perhaps others (1 and 2) were parking in the Shepard‘s hut car parking and blocking parking space of 11. We were at 10 and had 2 spaces with one car so no problem. Green space outside right up to the Loch was nice for the dog. The Loch side could be done up a bit more and made a selling point. The duck pond is a midge magnet. Location: Great for Conic hill. Not sure if I personally prefer this side of the Loch as compared with the west side. Oak Tree Inn has really great food and the ordering system is fantastic. Don’t have to deal with locating staff to order your food. They were also very efficient. Food is reasonably priced and tasted very good. Portions are good too.
