"We visited for two nights and couldn't fault either the accommodation or the food. The room (Cambridge Suite) was spacious and spotlessly clean, possibly a little 'light' on utensils etc if you're planning to self cater, but that's being little critical. The restaurant was rammed (Tuesday evening) and the food was good, a nice piece of Hake and a good portion of belly pork, along with accompanying veg and sauces. The staff were all attentive and friendly, as were the (I presume) locals in the bar. Would definitely recommend. "

"La chambre est un peu préférable, mais il y a des micro-ondes et des bouilloires à eau chaude, il y a deux nuits, un nouveau toilet et un café le lendemain, à la porte, sans perturber l'invité. L'hôtel n'est pas très loin du centre-ville, la gare est également à pied 15-20 minutes. Nous avons pris le train pour aller à Bass le matin 𨔼. Le billet de train est un jour de retour plus abordable ouvert ⋯⋯ l'unique hôtel offre un tissu facial."

When mentioned to staff a lot of eye rolling no apology Worst place I have Stayed and it wasn’t cheap AVOID at all costs"

"Needed somewhere for a one night stop. I arrived by car, the Premier Inn was easy to find on the north side of Gloucester with plenty of free parking (just need to register your vehicle number at reception). Room was clean and comfortable. In the evening we walked towards the cathedral and docks - took about half hour. We had Premier Inn breakfast in the adjoining restaurant the next morning - we had a nicely cooked English breakfast which we ordered on arrival and which was served to our table, plus a good choice of cereals, yoghurts, toast etc which you could help yourself to at the buffet. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again"

"Room was clean and good size. Bed and pillows are quite comfortable. Bathroom with bath and walk in shower are a bonus. Services all around was very average. Breakfast was disappointing. We came down at 9am everything was nearly depleted. No more brown breads only white left. Everything was poorly topped up. Coffee machine didn't dispense accordingly. I pressed cappuccino and got a mug of milk. The 2nd time round got just black coffee. It was very temperamental! Management should look into this and improve. The gym and pool should open earlier than 8am on weekends. To rushed to use , have breakfast and check out by 11am."

I did atrempt to correct my name as it showed up as Newma not Newman, but that's a correction not an adjustment that should cost money when it wasn't my mistake. Also when I checked in it still showed up at the hotel as Newma, so the correction hadn't been made."

"My wife and I pre-pandemic used to go very regularly on Friday lunchtimes for their superb fresh fish always beautifully cooked and presented. Hoping this still to be the case we were looking forward to going again today. But alas that wasn’t to be. Both the fish options on the menu that previously would have been fresh and white, wer now grey and frozen. Tasteless unseasoned batter on the Haddock and a dirty sauce of Black Pudding ruining the Scollops. The only thing to commend the place which has now been taken over by a pub group was the server who was a lovely Italian guy obviously embarrassed by the food he is serving. It’s gone down hill to the extent that we shall never go there again. A beautiful pub/restaurant in a unique position on the green now very average and completely ruined in the name of ‘progress’. It’s not just me, look at the current reviews and compare them with those of yesteryear."
