Oakview Lodge & Marina

A truely hidden gem! I booked the Oakview Lodge with a group of 4 other couples, all of which had small children. This was the perfect setup, with each family having their own bedroom, mini living room, and full bathrooms to make their own during the stay. Some of the rooms had multiple beds, plus a pullout chouch which came in handy for kids that slept on their own. The common areas were equally as exceptional for our large group - plenty of space to gather around the TV, dining tables, fire pit and loungers. The commercial kitchen was very pleasant to cook at, and actually it was difficult to come home to our non-commercial equipment! There was plenty of fridge space, a BBQ, 2 microwaves, and many other useful appliances. The hot tub was also very nicely situated, facing the marina. If you have a large group and are looking for everyone to have space when needed, but also together when wanted, look no further! The place is clean, huge, and simply perfect.

At the door parking and privacy. Chic decor, views of the frozen lake and eager snowmobilers while we were cozy inside warmed our hearts. Kitchen has every utensil one could wish for, plus a separate beverage fridge. Exquisite bedding, hot water galore, Canadiana ambience. Caring hosts even double-checked that we had appropriate winterwear; at -35C it was a thoughtful enquiry.

The owners, Anna and Greg, are always eager to meet your expectations. The facility is always tidy, and the interior design shows their good tastes. The meals there make you feel warm on the inside and like you're at home. Great place to have fun, for instance tubing, kayaking, or just unwinding near the fireplace. It's great that it's fun for all ages too, including children and adults alike.

I booked the Oakview Lodge and Marina for 2 nights and 2 days for a Plein Air Retreat last October 2021 and the lodge was spacious, comfortable beds, great views all around, wonderful pontoon rides given by the owners and such a good location to paint. Anna and Greg were very friendly and accommodating and very helpful with getting our campfires started, advises for areas to paint, helping us find everything in the kitchen.
