It is lovely to stay in Old Post Office, Halifax. The location is very close to the railway station and Woolshops Shopping Center, also the Halifax Bus Station and Sainsbury's. They are very warm and helpful. I will come again as I come to visit Halifax again!

The hotel is ideally situated in walking distance to most shops and the town centre.
It is not flashy and areas of the hotel are a little outdated but it was ideal for what I needed whilst visiting Halifax. The bed was comfy and the staff are super
friendly! I instantly felt welcome and very comfortable to ask for assistance if I needed it.
I would stay at The Old Post Office again.
Top tip: if you are a solo traveler and rooms are not showing as available, then phone The Old Post Office directly. I was told the rates are £48 per night for solo travelers.

Welcomed but not welcoming, extremely overpriced bar, the sign outside is large and clearly states, Luxury en suite bed and breakfast, I didn't see anything that reflected any of these words. I was actually very shocked. The rooms were dirty, walls need tk get the dead bugs off, shared bathroom was very dirty and clearly not been cleaned in a while. For £35 and although this is very cheap, you can get a clean travelodge around the corner for an extra £8.personally would avoid at all cost.

Stayed there last night… Room stunk of piss, dirty men’s underwear under the bed, room covered in dust, carpet ripped up in the corners, carpet stained as you walk in, bed uncomfortable and felt dirty. Sooner sleep in a bus stop than stay there again. Awful.

We booked the old post office for a wake . The place itself is clean however the staff are terribly rude . They complained that the music was to sad ( it’s a wake not a party ) They then called last orders at 7pm on Wednesday evening !!! Regulars were allowed . They complained that everyone was sat outside ( the sun was shinning what would you expect ) We were all respectful no swearing or fighting so I just don’t understand the logic in their behaviour . We left feeling very disrespected

Me and my wife stayed on a Saturday night Jackie and staff were amazing helpful room was clean and tidy we will be back again no doubt about it good value for the money thumbs up from use and thanks...

Lovely place manager is a star she is amazing at the end of the day if you want 5 star pay for 5 star you get what you pay for and at £48 pound a night your stupid to expect the ritz this place is great value for money

Absolutely love this place all the staff are amazing an can't do enough for you. I've had some fantastic nights in this place. Great pub an when I've stayed they've been great. Its great for the price. If you want the hillton pay the hilton prices.

Stayed one night as a single traveler for a work event. I had a small attic room which was nice and clean with a small sink, towel.soap bottles, tea/coffee and a small TV. Bathroom is shared but not a big problem. The hostess (Jackie) and staff in the pub are super nice and friendly and nothing seems a problem to them and are very approachable. It’s a great location for the train station and town centre. If you have a person who struggles with stairs this is probably not the one for you(no lifts),but if you like a friendly place with great beers on hand at a very good price, I would highly recommend this.
