The place was beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy. The service was phenomenal and the food was beyond amazing! Mike was so friendly. We were catered to the entire time. Will definitely stay here again in the future!!!

Very nice B&B. Mike is a wonderful host, beginning with welcome bottles of water to helpful hints for dining and things to do in the area. The B&B is clean with comfy rooms, common areas and even robes & slippers in the room. Breakfast was very yummy with the ability to pick what you would like. You will not go hungry. Thank you for a great stay. We will visit again for sure.

This is a lovely, intimate colonial home. We felt very welcome and Mike prepared a delicious breakfast. It's the small touches (chocolates, Fiji water, Beekman 1802 toiletries, cozy robes and slippers) that make the biggest impression!

Our group rented three rooms. All rooms are nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable and each room has their own temperature controls. Rooms are upstairs with communal area downstairs. Keurig coffee maker is available 24/7 upstairs. Each person gets to order their own specific cooked to order breakfast. I recommend the waffles. Owner was very accommodating and flexible with our needs.

Probably one of our most memorable stays of anywhere we have ever visited. Most gracious owner/host who exceeded any expectations that we may have had prior to our arrival. First Class accommodations, amenities & service with expertly prepared to order breakfast served each of the three mornings that we were in residence. Convenient off-street parking.

We were driving back to the Chicago after a week visiting our first grandbaby who was born the week before in Maine. We booked our stay the day before arriving. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions, gave us after hours check-in instructions, and restaurant recommendations as we were driving toward Herkimer. We found check-in to be easy and exactly as instructed and confirmed via text. The room and bed were very comfortable. The AC was turned in anticipation of our arrival. We enjoyed our carryout pizza on the comfortable back deck. After dinner we moved to the front porch and watched a storm roll in. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious; enough to fuel us on our drive to our next overnight in Cleveland. We enjoyed the company of our German breakfast companions. Our host, Mike, was attentive and shared information about the Herkimer area. If we're ever passing through again, we'll definitely look to stay at the Grand Colonial.

The stay at this bed and breakfast is amazing. Michael, the host, will call you beforehand to make sure that he will be there when you want to check in. the breakfasts are hot and filling. It's a pre-laid-out selection to choose from, but can have enough variety to not be the same every day (if you stay more than one night). The water can take a couple minutes to warm up sometimes. If staying longer than a night, the staff is excellent in checking in and making sure that everything you need for cleanliness is provided. It's an electronic lock so if you have a late night after check-in, it's not a problem. There's a living room area that can be used to watch TV in a group or have a visit if you want; or a desk to get some work done. There's a small selection of Herkimer Diamonds (uncut and in jewelry), and then there's also beauty supplies and day-to-day things as well Grand Colonial items that can be purchased.

We found the Grand Colonial on our most recent visit to the area and are very lucky we did. It is a beautiful property with a great backyard (which our dog very much enjoyed) and lovely rooms. Mike the host was extremely helpful and was very attentive and communicative and made everything very easy for us. We will 100% be coming back to the Grand Colonial on our future visits to the area! It is a gem.
