Welcome to Casa Serena, our beloved mountain cottage in Crestone, Colorado! Casa Serena was designed to inspire peace and serenity within your life, both during your stay and beyond. With the quietude of a retreat but with modern conveniences to ensure your comfort, our goal is to provide a space for you to relax, contemplate and discover.We are located just 1 mile from town in the Baca Grande subdivision, giving you the ease of quickly accessing groceries and dining with the tranquility of a more rural setting. Casa Serena comes with: Full kitchen 3 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms Gas fireplace Washer/dryer Dining space adjoined to kitchen Living room with large windows We'll make packing easy for you by including luxury provisions, such as nourishing shampoo and conditioner, soap, hair dryer, fluffy towels, down comforters, quality sheets, and extra blankets. Each bedroom has usb ports on the bedside touch lamps, and there's wifi for you to surf and stream on your personal devices. Have quality time together playing one of the included board games, or much-needed time to yourself with a provided book or yoga mat. Our fully equipped kitchen comes with all the tools you need to create your own meals, such as cooking utensils, pots/pans, gas range, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. About this space:This space provides a truly unique balance between "luxurious" and "rustic". This is a large newly-built facility, (Tibetan Buddhist themed). It is suitable for families, reunions, events, retreatants, or anyone who just really enjoys open space. Here, stunning 360 views of the San Luis Valley and surrounding Mountain Ranges combine with 5.6 acres of peaceful forested land to impart a sense of simultaneous uplift, and grounding. Whether gathering in groups, or taking refuge from the hustle and bustle of modern life, this is the perfect place to host inspiration, or simply soak in natural beauty.The spaceThe property is located 4.8 miles South of the Town of Crestone, in the Baca Grande subdivision. The whole facility is secured by keypad locks and 24 hour video surveillance, for extra peace of mind. There are a handful of other outbuildings/rentals on the property, and these guests are allowed access to the lower level bathroom through a secure exterior keypad entry. The interior access is controlled by a pad-lock, and guests of the main facility are welcome to use the lower bathroom at their own discretion. The Top floor features a large master suite with open floor plan, walk-in closet, Queen-size bed, state of the art kitchenette, living room, private bathroom/shower. A door opens to the "Sun Room", which features a fully enclosed wrap-around deck: including an Aspen-wood sauna; amazing views of the Mountains and Valley; and a dining-cove/bunk-room, which can be used to keep your younger kids closer to you, or to simply provide more sleeping space for your group.The middle floor, “The Shrine Room”, features a larger, warm and open room with a convertible Full-size sofa-bed, Extendable Dining Table, 65” TV, and Bathroom/Shower. It doubles as a practice space for moving/healing arts, guided meditations, or conferences/meetings. It can comfortably seat up to 25 people, depending on the needs and application of the group.Stroll down to the lower level for access to the bedroom-office (with Full and Twin-sized bunk-beds), laundry facility, dining nook, spacious well-equipped kitchen, and *shared bathroom* with deep tub.Guest accessFree off-street parking. Guests will be provided with an email including detailed directions, access codes, and additional information on the day of their arrival.Other things to note:Safety:-When we don't have guests, we are constantly striving to upgrade pathways and out buildings. This is a work in progress. Please inform your group to watch their step and be aware of their surroundings.-Also, In light of the current Covid-19 Pandemic, we go above and beyond the standard recommended cleaning practices. The health and wellness of our guests and our community is one of our highest priorities.We ask guests who meet any of the following criteria to please stay home!-Currently ill or exhibiting symptoms of illness-Known exposure to quarantined or flu-sick individuals-Have visited or are traveling from a high-risk area; please reference your local, state and national Covid-19 monitoring websites to know if this applies to you.-If a guest does become sick with Covid 19 symptoms at the BnB, or within 5 days of their visit, please let us know so that we can inform anyone who was potentially exposed, and do our best to limit more spread.Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
