Comwell Bygholm Park

One of my most disappointing experiences since a 4 star hotel in Constanta Romania. Where to begin. Small room with a stained carpet (can't determine whether it is dirt or just old carpet). The TV malfunctioned when I arrived, and when I wanted to call the reception, I found out that the phone did not work either. The phone was sticky to the touch and the display was cracked. Went to the reception that asked me to unplug the TV and plug it in again. This fixed the problem but revealed that there are only 3 channels available... two German and a Danish. they suggest that I could once again do the courtyard trip to borrow a HDMI cable so I could connect my computer, but I opted not to... my computer probably is a better screen than the old TV anyway Do not bring many bags, as you have to go from the car to the reception, over a large courtyard from a distant parking place. And when you have checked in you have to go all the way back to get to your room. No roomservice menu and had to go to the reception that told me that they indeed had room service, but warned me that they charged EUR 10 (DKK 75) to carry the tray to my room. I am impressed that they could say this without blushing from shame. Decided to show up physically to the restaurant after yet another courtyard trip to order the food in the restaurant and got a sorry excuse for a wienerschnitzel, and took it to my room myself after 30 minutes. The staff is smiling and are doing their best, which is not enough to qualify as an international business hotel, and the bathrooms are ok, except for the shower head. Best advise... wait until Comwell have refurbished the hotel.... They are taking it over on January 1st and the will for sure be a remarkable improvement.

I have stayed at Scandic Bygholm many time and I love it here. Fair prices, friendly staff and the rooms are nice and clean. The hotel are surrounded by a lovely park with a couple of minor lakes, a "dog forest" were dogs are allowed to run free and a playground for children.

Great stay at the hotel and good location to the city center. You can walk through the Bygholmpark to get quickly to the city center and the restaurants. The hotel has a fine menu also, differnet dishes to order and many excellent vines to choose from. The personal are nice and friendly to chat with.

hotel as well as the perfect surrounding at fair price. Very friendly and helpful staff including breakfast as expected. We were on a vacation trip to Danmark for one week. Perfectly fitting to our needs. Just the room called "family room" was just a standard room equipped with 2 more beds. Meaning that it was very small at the end to host 4 persons.

Very small rooms. Booked a familyroom (4p) got a small doubleroom in the attic with 2 (broken!) extra beds in that already cramped room. No space to move at all. Cleaning in room not ok. No possibility to adjust roomtemperature. Staff not serviceminded at all. And we are at Level Top Floor at Scandic. Worst Scandic hotel ever, and we’ve stayed at quite a lot of them (hence TF)

Stayed here for a night and the first impression was good. The property is lovely and it's location by Bygholm Park (which was really nice, especially for kids) is great. The room was ok (as standard as they come), but where it fails is the food. The dinner buffet was expensive, but fell short of expectations. Cold potatoes, over cooked meat (and been on the heater too long), few alternatives, and the "starters" would hardly count as an amuse bouche. For about half the price it would have been ok, but this was not good enough and it could easliy have been lifted to a better standard. Unfortunately the breakfast was the poorest we experienced at our trip as well. Scandic is really bad at breakfast in Denmark and this standard selection in a poor layout was missing on all marks. I heard rumors that the hotel is on it's way out of the Scandic chain, which I think is a good decision that might help them reach it's potential (especially on the food side).

The hotel is situated in a beautiful huge park. The interior is very nice and stuff is polite. We booked one of the largest rooms, so we had enough space, but only a small wardrobe. The breakfast buffet was not refilled at 10,00 although it was served till 10,30. We found no butter. In the room there were many spiders at night so we had to kill them first to go to bed. The room was not well cleaned during our stay.

Well, how to start! Last night me and other 190+ colleagues attended a party planned for us by the company we work for, so I well knowing about this party, months ahead I asked my company if Scandic Bygholm Hotel can guarantee they will serve me a vegan menu. The chef/Hotel said YES, even sent me a Vegan menu via email as a reply, so I well knew in advance what I'm going to be served, then the party started: Out of 190+ employees, 2 were vegetarians and one (me) have been vegan! At very first we (all the tables were served already) had the starter dish... It was already on the tables when they opened the doors for us. so, I and the other 2 vegetarians went to the canteen to ask, where are the 2 vegetarian + the vegan dishes, then they were surprised of having a request of 3 dishes when they said only knewing they had to serve one VEGETARIAN menu, first they said that 2 vegetarian dishes have been already served on the tables(NOT TRUE) and that 1 more will come( keep in mind that meanwhile the rest of our colleagues were eating). So they said that they will bring the 2 + 1 dishes soon asap. So we were waiting for our dishes, meanwhile our colleagues finished eating their starter. After approx 6-7 minutes we had our starter... but no bread as the ones placed on the table before the doors were open, were eaten already by the other 190+ colleagues... So we asked for extra bread, as the starter had to be served on bread... then canteen's reply was: You have to wait 8 more minutes until other bread will cook... SPEACHLESS 15-18 minutes after our colleagues finished eating they starter, they getting on drinks, when we finally get to eat a hot bread along with our starter. A half an hour later, the main dish was served(my vegan dish was served to a vegetarian and vice versa)... I told the canteen that my dish is not vegan... and their reply was that, I'm wrong saying that, cuz it is vegetarian...(face palm again), So, I again had to explain that vegetarian dishes can contain milk or other animal derivates... when the VEGAN dishes are made out of plant-based only. So I was asking for my plant-based food. After they switch my dish with the one served to my vegetarian colleague... I finally start eating, I must admit the main dish was absolutely tasty, but it turn to be the only positive moment from the whole menu. So... let's continue: After the main dish was served, it was time for desert... my colleagues (+ to the vegetarian colleagues) were served a lava cake with ice-cream... then they finished eating their deserts... meanwhile I was waiting... waiting..., 10 minutes past, I was still waiting for my desert, meanwhile, the canteen started to serve drinks to my colleagues... so I again went to canteen to ask where my desert is... they said... ''ohh sorry, our mistake, will bring it asap''... so I was waiting again, they bring me a lava cake with ice-cream... I freezed, I said, that this is not what I was promised, + the desert is not vegan...

Clean room, nice vy and park. Brekfast fine and personal kind. Price of room was ok. Restaurang very good and also breafirst. Internet was eacy to conect to. Shower and barh was clean to. You could boil water and drink coffe or the at the room.
