Civic Hotel

Where do I start arrived early so couldn’t check in which is fine so asked could they put my bags in my room for us as we were off to winter wonderland and had to catch the tube with there being laptops iPads etc in bags they assured me not to worry and I could check in later, got back at 7pm to find all doors open bags still where I left them no one in sight, I rang intercom 3 times then resorted to ringing mobile number on wall, then the rude angry man appears asked me to pay 1st then says I need a passport to book in nothing had stated this previously so I hadn’t got anything his attitude was tough drive back to Manchester and get it all he would say was I’m not going to argue even when I tried to show him all the emails which never stated any of this he wouldn’t even look eventually got family to send me a photo the room was freezing cold and when I went for breakfast I was greeted by another guest holding up his marmalade pot that had been nibbled by Roland rat horrible place horrible night staff

Having stayed there last year i booked again and stayed there, the free parking is a major bonus because you can't park anywhere around the area, the staff are friendly and helpful the room we had was a triple room and was both clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom which was also very clean, the price is very good, again on checking out the staff were friendly,i will definitely be staying here again.

I booked two rooms here this weekend for my wife and I and for our son. When we arrived there was a queue at reception and the bell was not being answered. I rang the contact number and eventually somebody came. There was a sign in the hallway saying "please consider other guests and keep noise to a minimum" or words to that effect. The walls are paper thin and there was noise all night long. Banging and crashing, loud talking in corridors right outside our rooms, talking in the car park right outside our room, doors slamming. People seemed to be coming in until 3am and they started leaving by 4am - leaving cars running in the carpark right outside our window to warm up then having loud conversations beside them. We won't be back.

This hotel is convenient for public transport and has good parking. The rooms are basic but adequate and overall it is well maintained, There was a smell of damp and sewage, The room had no reading lamp and when I asked for one I was told none were available. The second night I accidentally purchased a non screw topped wine bottle. I asked if I could borrow a cork screw at reception, I was told there was none available. This is a scarcely credible level of service. The next day I purchased a good lever cork screw with knife for £ 1 !!!

This is a great guest house, the price was very good,we arrived and found a free parking space at the hotel, the check in process was quick and easy with the gentleman on reception,we booked a room with three single beds but was given a room with one double bed and two single beds all of which were very comfortable, the room was large and had all the amenities and was very clean with plenty of towels and soap for the bathroom which again was of a good size, check out was simple and quick, the hotel is just outside Hounslow town centre in a place called Lampton it was a quiet area but within easy reach of the town centre,I would certainly stay here again.

Hotel itself is clean and functional. However, I needed to request a towel for my partner as only one was provided in our double room. The person I asked seemed somewhat irritated by my request and I was made to feel that I was being awkward for asking. Secondly on our second night in the hotel the noise from multiple other guests was totally unacceptable - shouting, slamming of doors, people talking loudly in the corridors, etc until well past 3am.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a family of 4, the hotel it's self is nice and modern but the guest they have living there are horrendous we had some above us and both nights until the early hours they was arguing, throwing stuff about etc, we got out of bed and complained about this on our last night as our children were scared and told they would go and sort it and it was still going on an hour after this so nothing got done. You don't expect to pay £220 to be kept awake to that extent! Very disappointed. It also appears to be used as a half way house as there's a banner outside saying rooms to rent long or short term unfortunately these guest ruined our experience with the civic hotel as the rooms where OK.

Upon arriving at our hotel we had booked we found they didn’t have our reservation and were full so we looked for an alternative nearby and we came up with the Civic who had a triple room available. The guy on the front desk was very helpful and friendly and we were soon in our room. The room looked quite recently refurbished and was clean with a double and single bed. Bathroom was clean and modern. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room was useful but there was no bedside lamps or mirror (other than the bathroom) so couldn’t blow dry hair. Very noisy guests on one night of our stay but the staff did try and deal with them. Overall it was an ok stay with no major problems. Location to Hounslow station was good and a bus stop right outside. Car parking was free and staff were very friendly
