An authentic 17th-century castle offers you all kinds of possibilities for business meetings, conferences and hotel/restaurant facilities in style. You will be hospitably received and catered to a culinary delight in an oasis of peace.
The Kasteel de Vanenburg, BW Premier Collection® is located in a peaceful, forest-rich area in the heart of the Netherlands (less than 45 minutes from Amsterdam), called De Veluwe, one of the most nature-rich areas in the Netherlands, near the village Putten. The castle is surrounded by beautiful old trees; historical lanes and watercourses determine the structure of the 55-hectare estate.
On the estate you can stay in a rustic setting. De Vanenburg has 52 hotel rooms which are all located on our property. The rooms are spread over four courtyards around the castle.
The restaurant is located in the main castle, where the chef and his team will prepare the most surprising culinary creations, often using products from the herbal garden at the property.
A great variety of meeting facilities are spread over the estate, 17 in total, accommodating from three to 300 persons. A combination of modern facilities and historical atmosphere provides a truly inspiring setting for all kinds of business meetings, trainings and conventions.Voir plus

Cadre formidable dans le parc d’un château, accueil de cérémonies et mariages Chambre dans les annexes autour du parc calme, tranquillité et espace Seul bémol le parking (gratuit !! le top ) un peu loin si vous loger dans les appartements à droite Restaurant gastronomique, petit dej dans les sous-sols du château (typique) mais très varié Un peu loin de la ville mais la campagne alentour offre de belles balades à vélo Endroit très peu fréquenter par les Français car il faut reconnaitre qu’il faut avoir déjà bien naviguer dans ce beau pays pour choisir PUTTEN mais notre choix était guider par la proximité de Emmeloord et du Flevoland ses champs de Tulipes (avril-mai) Très bon séjour avec un personnel très serviable

Un emplacement magnifique... Une demeure majusteuse entouree d'eau dans un ecrin de verdure. Un concept interessant avec ces "maisonettes" qui sont en fait les chambres de l'hotel en peripherie du chateau. Pas toujours facile d'acces avec le gravier, mais qui offre un tres grand comfort et calme...

Cadre magnifique et emplacement idéal. La chambre que j'occupais était fonctionnelle et bien décorée, avec un bureau. Idéal pour télétravail et pour trouver l'inspiration. Toutefois, la propreté de la salle de bains n'était pas optimale et je pensais qu'un hôtel de ce standing proposerait des chambres mieux insonorisées (on entend vaguement les voisins parler ainsi que leur télévision, mais, heureusement, pas l'autoroute). Le rapport qualité-prix demeure très intéressant.

Beautiful hotel with an interesting history. We stayed in a deluxe family room which gave us a little more space than usual in a hotel room. An outside seating area was also a bonus. The grounds are beautifully kept and worth exploring with a camera in hand. (I particularly enjoyed using the tree swing and I'm on the wrong side of 60!) Every member of staff we came across greeted us warmly and the breakfast ladies were a delight. There were weddings being held on both days we were there but there was no noise disturbance to other guests. Can't wait to return!

I stayed in one of the luxury (superior) suites. They may cost a bit more, but I think its worth it. A complete home from home. Everything you can expect, a great bed, a shower with lots of power. Some free drinks in the mini-bar. Fruit and nibbles on the table. A nice sofa to sit on. (I suspect it can be transformed into an extra bed). The room itself is a separate building. The more standard rooms of in small blocks of about five rooms. This gives plenty of privacy. The rooms all have private access from the beautiful gardens outside. What was nice to see was that everything was being well maintained. The gardeners were busy, the patios were being cleaned, etc. All the chairs in the restaurant had been renewed. A great time was had.

We stayed for a Saturday night away and had dinner in the restaurant as well. It was a very relaxing, refreshing escape. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable, the grounds are lovely. Staff were professional if not openly friendly. Definitely recommended.

Walking “long distance routes” on the veluwe we stayed one night at Vanenburg. A beautifull “castle” near Putten surroundend by very nice gardens. The rooms are not in the mansion itself but at various locations; all bungalow like. We had the luxury suite with separate living room and a nice sun terrace. Very nice room and not expensive. Diner was good. Staff very friendly. On the backside: we were informed that they are closing their terrace in front of the building in the beautifull garden. They have renovated the brasserie and you can have your outdoor drinks over there. But that’s a stone courtyard with no views and uncomparable to the nice terrace near the main buiding with beautifull views on garden as well as castle. They should reconsider this. Apart from that an excellent place to stay.

The place looks really nice and the service is at a high standard. The room is comfortable and has everything you need. In some cases you might hear the noise from the other rooms but in general that is not a problem. I do recommend you to walk around as the nature there is beautiful. The food at their restaurant is great but pricey.

A hotel with a difference. Basically a converted mansion house, but still with all the elegance. The main building houses the restaurants and reception. This is surrounded by a very large garden. The guest rooms and meeting rooms are in small buildings distributed around the gardens. I can well imagine that it is an ideal location for all kinds of parties and weddings. We stayed in one of the deluxe range of rooms. The rather small bedroom was compensated by a roomy lounge. As expected, all facilities were available and everything was clean and in order. As all these rooms are on the ground floor they has a small teras where you can sit in the sun. The food in the restaurant was excellent. There is a very limited a-la-cart selection, but each day there is a different multi course meal from which you can select which courses you want to eat. The fact that the rooms are at a distance from the main building may be a problem for some people, but the hotel does have some electric buggies they use for all kind of purposes. I suspect they will help those that need it. If you are wondering what happens when it rains, there are umbrellas everywhere. All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable four days.
