Nice pub/hotel. Room was tiny, just about walk around the bed and fall into the bathroom! Double bed, comfy but small. Food good, pet hate is adding service charges to the bill 10% rather choose my own tip. Breakfast good, basic small continental selection and freshly cooked breakfast overpriced at £17.50

Great little inn with good affordable evening food and perhaps the best cooked breakfast in the business! Rooms are comfortable with good quality mattresses. Very attentive staff and good room rates considering the amazing breakfast! …………………………………………………………………………….

Friendly staff, amazing food & great rooms. Loved the extra touches e.g. Taylor’s coffee bags, generous bathroom products & soft pillows. Stayed for dinner which was delicious. We had the daily specials. Full English breakfast was fabulous too. Thank you!

Average welcome followed by disappointing “nibbles”. Butchers cut - Pork T Bone - raw at the bone and on the medallion. The potato dishes were so salty, house slaw not fresh - soft. Raised with waitress, chef told her it’s the fat that is raw, this was meat on and around the bone.l!! Found the whole experience one not to repeat. Atmosphere - there wasn’t any. One local I will not be returning to.

This little gem was a wonderful find. Unfortunately, I was there for a funeral and stayed at the hotel with some cousins. Lunch was fabulous - all home made and plentiful. I had the budget room, as it was the only room left when I booked. It was small, yes, but for 1 night and 1 person it was adequate. It was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were super soft. Breakfast was superb and great portions. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff, and the manager, sorry didn't get her name, was so accommodating and pleasant. Thankyou, and if we visit Andover again, we will definitely stay at the George & Dragon. Thankyou For £65 I thought was excellent value.

One of the friendliest, cleanest and most cosy places I have ever stayed Cannot fault this lovely inn…..from the moment we arrived to leaving this morning, consistently perfect… We had a room at the front of the building with a stunning aspect. The food is wonderful and the team amazing. Thank you

Stayed here last night and had the most wonderful experience. Gorgeous room at the front of building overlooking the road onto fields. Beautiful view and so quiet. Dinner was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere sitting by the open fire was so relaxing. Breakfast was included and such a great choice of food. An amazing country pub with beautiful rooms. I can’t recommend this place enough and I’ve already booked to come back!

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting this area for the first time. The room was lovely. Very light and airy. The pub is on a main road so there was some noise from here, but none from the pub itself at all. We ate in the pub twice and the food was good. On the last evening an outside pizza oven was set up and the pizzas were delicious. Breakfast was also good Definitely enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in the pub

We thoroughly recommend our stay at the George and Dragon. After a long journey we were welcomed and looked after by caring attentive staff. The breakfast was amazing. Our room was pleasant and comfortable. I slept like a baby. We found it excellent value for money.
