It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :)
Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!

IInvitéMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

The manager went out of her way to make my stay comfortable. She picked me up at the bus stop and drove me via motorbike to the hotel, and then when I was ready to leave and needed a bus ticket, she went early to the bus station to pick one up for me.

IInvitéA nice owner hotel. The owner & wife was very nice and helpful. Owner was friendly, helpful and obliging. I arrived at the main long distance bus station. The owner came to pick me and dropped me off after I checked out. Hotel room was clean and nice with a pleasant view. Shower and toilet are nicely separated. Food can be easily found. Location was near the sights Hongcun. Just a short walk from the hotel. A must see places of interest. Overall, a nice owner hotel with a home feel and a pleasant stay.

IInvitéLa chambre était très propre et bien rangée, et l'aménagement était simple et humain. C'était très confortable d'y rester deux jours. Ce qui mérite un éloge particulier, c'est que le patron est vraiment sympa. Pour des raisons personnelles, je suis tombé malade le jour de mon arrivée. Le patron a pris la peine de venir me chercher et de me déposer, de m'emmener acheter des médicaments, et m'a même apporté des médicaments. la nourriture de ma fille. Les oncles et tantes dans la cour sont également très sympathiques et gentils et répondent à presque toutes les demandes. C'est un B&B que je recommanderais à mes amis. Enfin, je tiens encore à remercier mon patron d'avoir pris soin de moi ces deux jours.

- Il a proposé de venir me chercher et m'a aidée avec mes bagages à mon arrivée et à mon départ.
- Le logement est un peu excentré, donc c'est un peu inquiétant de s'y promener seule la nuit tombée, car il y a moins de monde 👻👻👻.
Dans l'ensemble, mon séjour s'est très bien passé.

IInvitéThe Inn is located inside the Scenic area, the room is clean but relatively small especially the bathroom. The soundproofing is poor as you can hear clearly what’s happening at the next room. The common area at the ground floor is a bit messy. Quite dark at night.
The only plus point is the Inn is located inside the Scenic area.
Actually the Inn’s location is a bit difficult for a traveler to find, if the owner hadn’t come out to fetch me, I wouldn’t have been able to find the Inn at all. Besides that, the pathway at the Scenic area is made of stone, full of potholes and quite dirty, thus it’d be a nightmare to pull a luggage all the way from the bus station to the Inn.
The Scenic area has become too commercial and super crowded, it is impossible to have a nice and quiet stroll to enjoy the scenery. The only time you can have a quiet walk is before 6am morning. I myself will definitely not coming back.

XXialuotegaogaoLe salon est situé au centre comparatif de Xijiang, le vieux chanchau, l'ancien chanchau! Je ne pensais pas que la famille était seule dans l'hôtel, tout le monde était très heureux! À la première communication téléphonique du magasin, le petit frère est venu nous prendre au parking, le service est bon! Il y a un ancien chanchau dans la chambre de chanchau, très intéressant! Ils se déplacent lentement à Xijiang, ils se sentent lentement, ils sont entrés dans le magasin et ont acheté leur petit objet préféré... recommandé!

IInvitéLa famille a visité l'ancien village de Xidi et a eu une bonne expérience. Les lits jumeaux de l'auberge mesurent 1,5 mètre de haut, ce qui répond aux besoins d'une famille de trois personnes. Il est très pratique de s'enregistrer et de manger à la porte. . Le restaurant d'en face est bon pour cuisiner des nouilles.

IInvitéWe had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel in Huangcun. The owner was very kind—she personally met us and even helped carry our luggage to the hotel. The hotel is beautifully designed in a traditional Chinese house style, and we were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lovely views. Its location inside the old village is very convenient for sightseeing and just a short walk to the ticket gate. Highly recommended!
