« This is truly a heartwarming homestay. Even before we entered, the host came out to greet us, guided us to the parking lot, and helped park the car. We stayed for two nights. On the second evening, a strong wind caused a power outage across the entire town and scenic area. The host immediately went room to room to deliver emergency lights, explain the situation, and reassure us that hot water was still available. Although the outage caused some inconvenience, we understood it was due to unforeseen circumstances. The host actively worked to resolve the issue and even offered to refund half of our stay upon checkout. The next morning, we even saw the owner coming down to pack breakfast for the staff. While our stay wasn’t perfect, what mattered most was how promptly and sincerely the owner addressed any issues. We genuinely hope their business continues to thrive! »

« I had the most amazing stay during my time in China! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with blessings from the grandmother and a cup of fresh milk. They even upgraded my room without me asking. Since I had limited time in town, I asked the host to guide me—and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my entire trip. He brought me to stunning scenic spots, temples, and towers, and we shared an unforgettable dinner. The entire family was incredibly kind and made sure I felt at home every moment. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—close to the bus station and surrounded by great restaurants. J'ai donc suivi le GPS pour voir les chambres. La route de montagne est sinueuse avec de nombreux virages serrés, mais heureusement, les routes ont été rénovées. Le GPS mène tout au bout du village tibétain, près du pied de la montagne. La petite cour est remplie de succulentes. Le parking de l'autre côté est en travaux. La décoration de la maison est de style tibétain. On peut y manger à la carte. Le petit-déjeuner coûte 10 yuans par personne (à notre charge). Nous avons dîné chez eux et avons découvert par la suite que c'était le jeune propriétaire qui cuisinait. Le matin, en promenant le chien, j'ai fait le tour du village. Il y a beaucoup de maisons d'hôtes tibétaines. Les murs de certaines cours étaient couverts de fleurs violettes, c'était magnifique. « OK location, all hotels seem to be in eastern area of town. Host was really helpful at organising share taxi to local villages and onward travel, answered all our travel planning questions. Unfortunately cleaning was not very good, lots of marks all over glass shower window, clearly hasn’t been wiped in a long time. Toilet leaked from base when flushed so you can imagine what comes out onto floor. Found several small carpet bugs, didn’t bother us much but needs attention. »

LLeo25This stay was wonderful. Sadly we arrived late and couldn’t make the most of the rooms and surroundings, but the morning was beautiful. The people were kind and helpful, and some have a sense of humour. Very clean rooms. Great view. Good tea set which was gratefully used for a peaceful moment with the view when I had to recharge. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was really tasty—and vegetarian. Good local tea on offer! The rooms on the ground floor are clearly non-smoking and don’t have a whiff of cigarette about them (thankful lungs, eyes and skin). All rooms we saw were beautiful and clean. Shower was hot and good pressure. Coming in late was not an issue. Thank you so much for the care and kindness!

However, the amenities are not to our expectations during the off season even though this is not the only accommodation we stayed at during our trip in Western Sichuan during winter. The room is clean and the heating is good but there is no cold water as the water is frozen which resulted in the toilet unable to flush. The hot water pressure was low and the water was not sufficiently hot in the morning. The staff is friendly and was extremely helpful. Considering the price of the room, I cannot recommend this place during the off season unless they are able to ensure all the amenities are working as it should.
