Both bedrooms offer queen beds and a private bath. A stainless gas grill allows you to cook on the covered deck while enjoying the tranquility of your surroundings. This cabin combines all our learnings into a romantic, family friendly end of the world get away, yet only 3 miles from the shops of downtown Blowing Rock. Modernly rustic, gather your self up in the bay window, enjoy the firepit, relax in our Hot Tub Hut spa and prepare your meals in our new kitchen or on the grill. Sleeps 6 with 4 on the main level and 2 in the private loft. We try to keep our prices low when the guest count is low, after the first four guests we charge $35 per night per guest extra on all stays.The Cabin is in the Mountains. The approach to the cabin means that you are comfortable driving a road in the woods, including driving up and down small gravel roads. Snow & ice are conditions you may find December 1 through March 31st we provide a shovel and a limited amount of rock salt at the cabin. Are you prepared for Snow and Ice for you, all guests, and your car is a question you must ask yourself when visiting us during the winter. We can’t forecast the weather, nor can we make it stop if it starts :-). Hence you need to be certain you can take care of yourselves and car (snowchains, or AWD, or 4x4 are the best options). In the event of a winter storm during your stay we will instruct you on where your vehicles will be placed for your safety, this may involve a short walk from that location to the cabin door . In general snow fall is light and usually melts the next day. Most of the gravel road is county maintained and thus cleared, however the last .5 miles up to the cabins is in a private neighborhood where snow removal is a group, best can do, best effort basis. That said we drive our Jeep 4x4 through all snow in and out of the same roads all the time, and we are used to snow. The winter months are wonderful months in Blowing Rock, great for a fire, some out door hiking, tubing, skiing and hot tubing, pls be vigilante on the weather as its usually in a forecast, and you can put yourselves and your cars in the right places for total success.We are providing you a License to use our Cabin similar to that of renting a car, as a licensee you are bound to the cabin rules at all times, and you forgo the rights of a "lease" or "tenant". Violations of our cabin rules can result in your immediate removal from our cabin, by renting our cabin you agree to these terms. If you'd like a full copy of the license please let us know in advance and one will be provided to you.WIFI - Its Satellite based. That means it has a delay and is not ideal for 2 way communication such ZOOM. Second it means that during a storm the weather can cloud out the connection and your WiFi may degrade. Soak in your private hot tub and enjoy the views. A gas fire pit is also available for your enjoyment! INDOORS - You will have a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and large toaster oven. Everything you need to whip up a smaller meal or heat up some tasty leftovers. The living room has a dining table and a comfy couch that pulls out into a queen size bed. Stream your favorite shows on the smart TV. The master bedroom is an oasis for comfort! The king pillow top mattress and cozy bedding invite you to sleep in! The ancient apple trees on the house ground date back to the 1800's when the property used to be on an orchard that was on the original wagon trail from Lenoir to Blowing Rock. At the right time of year you can harvest your own apples, previous tenants have made pies for enjoyment and desert!
