Hôtels près de Milton of Clava, Inverness

Very nice hotel, well situated and adequate for our needs, not much can be found at fault with this place staff were pleasant and attended to our request when asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Très bel hôtel de l'extérieur, très belle façade. Beau hall d'entrée, très british, escalier majestueux. Bar très agréable. Puis, l'ascenseur donne le ton.. Couloirs sinistres,. Les chambres sont minuscules. Les lits aussi. Nous avons demandé une chambre avec un lit plus grand, ce que nous avons obtenue. Les sanitaires datent d'une cinquantaine d'années. La douche tellement petite qu'il est interdit de faire tomber le savon ! Dans la chambre de ma fille, baignoire avec encore 2 robinets (eau chaude, eau froide). L'accueil est correct mais pas très chaleureux. Bon, après il est vrai que le prix est bas. Quand au parking, très peu de places.

L'emplacement est bon près de la petite rivière, le centre-ville est de l'autre côté de la rivière et le type de chambre est relativement confortable. Seul bémol, le parking n'est pas très pratique. Si vous voyagez en voiture, vous devez vous garer sur les parkings environnants.

Near Inverness train station, beside is Ness river, walk with old buildings style that look nice. A couple of shopping centres nearby, plenty of restaurants for you to choose. Wifi in the room is slow, but at hall consider all right. Breakfast spread is considered good for European style. A heating facility is also available. The room is small but enough for me to stay... solo travel

L'hôtel est généralement acceptable et propre. Cependant, je suis presque triquée d'être donnée une chambre qui est “HALF-CUT” par le toit. Il y a en fait beaucoup de chambres normales vides qui sont nettoyées, puisque je vois marcher à l'ascenseur. J'ai demandé au bureau de front si je pouvais être réorganisé et ils m'ont donné une autre chambre. L'expérience est très mauvaise, car j'ai eu l'impression de être discriminatoire et de se tromper pour des raisons inconnues.

I've been coming to this hotel for around 20 years, initially on business and now for leisure, and I visit every few years. In that time not much has changed, apart from the ownership. The hotel is still a beautiful building set in tranquil and wonderful grounds. The downstairs interior is stately and is tastefully decorated with an elegant bar, Lounge and Restaurant. Staff on Reception are polite and helpful But the hotel isn't without its issues which are 1) The bedroom furniture has been the same on every visit over the last 20 years and is showing its age 2) The carpet in the room we were given was actually threadbare in places and isn't what you expect 3) The lady waiting tables at breakfast is a joy. She is attentive, polite and helpful. The same cannot be said of the older gentleman working there who is ignorant and ignores people waiting to be seated. There is no need to be so rude and dismissive of people of all nationalities who are basically paying his wages ! 4) My biggest grumble of all is the lack of a premium lager in the hotel bar. Under previous management in the early 2000's they used to stock 1664 but now it's Carling (yuk!), Guinness, Scots ale or Cider. I would have spent a lot more time in there had they stocked better beer. That's a real own goal and other guests are of the same opinion.

Nous avons visité le restaurant pour le déjeuner de naissance de notre fille, alors que nous étions près d'une courte pause dans les Highlands. Le restaurant est un établissement de qualité, et il est très bien placé pour vous. Nous avons eu un beau couple d'heures là-bas et nous le recommanderions très bien d'aller manger quelque part.

Le Wi-Fi était horrible. Il n'a pas fonctionné. Le parking était impossible. Nous avons parqué notre voiture à 5 minutes de marche. Le parking était plein de voitures déjà et impossible de négocier. La chambre n'était pas la même que la réservation en ligne. Une petite salle de bains bizarre. Online Nous avons vérifié notre chambre a une grande jardin, mais il n'y avait pas de vue sur le jardin. Il était juste bloqué avec un mur étroite. I

When I booked the hotel, I made sure the gent who took the call understood the night we would stay would be our wedding night. We booked the hotel as it is allegedly a 5 star hotel. A 5 star hotel, according to Which has these features, with relation to the staff and facilities. All staff demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to help (1 star) Good guest service and staff should provide prompt, courteous and efficient service (3 star) Very good social skills and anticipation of individual guests' needs evident (4 star) Higher staffing levels (4 star) Staff should anticipate individual guests' needs to create unique and memorable experiences (5 star) We could not book the room with the hot tub, but, we plumped for the next room down, the decadent room. The image clearly shows a free standing bath and a very large walk in shower, and with this we booked the one night. When I arrived to check in, I was early, and the very nice lady gave me the paperwork and allowed me to sign up and leave my car in the car park. I asked about a potential upgrade and was told the hotel was full, so no chance of room movement. After we had had our wedding lunch in Inverness, we walked up to the hotel and checked into the room. There was no free standing bath, the walk in shower pressure was below average, no acknowledgement of our celebratory day or anything. But we had had a good meal and needed to rest after the day's exertions. The room overlooked the road, so we had to shut the windows. The aircon was operating well. Around 9pm, we decided to stretch our legs and go down to the bar and maybe get a sandwich. We witnessed one particularly trucculent female member of staff walk past us, not acknowledge us or even make space at the bar for us to sit. The lady behind the bar, I learned later, was the duty manager and she was making cocktails as the usual bar person was not in. I had to ask twice to get menus to order food from the trucculent one, but she ignored us and carried on filling drinks orders. The other member of staff couldnt actually serve drinks as she was only 16 We finally got our order placed and went to sit down. Now, I love the heat, having lived in the Sinai for 30 years, I enjoy the sensation, but the heating in the bar was oppressive. When our food turned up by the trucculent one, she plonked our plates down and walked off. My wife had ordered a salmon sandwich, which turned out pretty much as expected. I ordered a club sandwich. Mainly for the reason that this one was advertised with egg on it. A departure from a typical Club Sandwich and one of which I thought I would like What was presented to me was dripping in grease and the mayonnaise had made the bread all soggy and horrible. The egg had been fried in tainted oil and had a bitter after taste and had not been dabbed to remove the oil that was making the sandwich so un appealing. I had to leave half of it as the bread disintegrated and I was left with a gelatinous gooey mess

Nous sommes venus à plusieurs reprises à Highland Apartments. Nous n’avons jamais été déçus. Situation (tous les commerces à proximité), calme, propreté, parking avec garage. Tout se fait par email et si vous avez des questions, réponse très rapide de la part du personnel. Nous reviendrons volontiers. Appartement de deux chambres, salon, cuisine, 2 toilettes, baignoire, douche, machine à laver le linge, vraiment tout le confort.
