Most restaurants still open and lots to choose from within walking distance. Garbis family made us feel very welcome. As for most of Kefalonia, I advise renting a car. We managed to explore most of the island from Lourdas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you"

"Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel au cours des deux premières semaines d'août. Je le recommande à ceux qui, comme nous, souhaitent voyager et connaître l'île. En fait, l'hôtel est situé à Sami, un excellent point de départ pour toute destination que vous souhaitez atteindre. Je recommande fortement d'avoir une voiture. L'hôtel n'est pas très grand et est géré par une famille, ils nous ont mis à l'aise grâce à leur gentillesse. Spiros, le propriétaire, était notamment notre ange gardien, toujours attentif à nos besoins. Tout le personnel a également toujours été remarquablement accueillant. Les chambres sont basiques et propres. Dans la structure il y a une piscine avec un bar attenant que nous utilisions souvent au retour de nos voyages. Cependant, nous avons également vu des familles avec des enfants à l'intérieur. Vous pouvez facilement accéder à la mer, où sont positionnés quelques parasols. Nous n'y sommes jamais allés ayant préféré les nombreuses autres plages de l'île."

"Des affiches partout dans la ville nous ont attiré l’attention bien que rédigées simplement en anglais et laissant présager que cela s’adressait uniquement aux touriste… ns ns sommes laissés tenter néanmoins ! Déception avec une musique grecque certes mais manquant totalement d’authenticité, vraiment destinée aux étrangers avec 3 fois le sirtaki dans la soirée… c’est bon on a compris ! Depuis 15 ans, nos vacances en Grèce nous ont permis d’assister à des prestations musicales, y compris dans des restaurants tout simples ou plus sophistiqués, mais qui toujours étaient très chaleureuses et authentiques. La S’ignora : c’était de la caricature de musique grecque ! cela ne remet pas du tout en question, le talent des 2 musiciens qui ne font que ce qu’on leur demande. Le buffet à 25€/pers : quelconque et sans grand intérêt, et d’ailleurs, le dessert n’était pas inclus puisqu’on nous a fait payer en supplément deux boules de glace industrielle ! Si vous aimez la vraie musique grecque (notre cas), passez votre chemin comme nous serez déçus !"

"Location in Poros was ideal, close the the harbour and all the local restaurants. Never had an issue with noise, despite the place obviously being very busy. The rooms were basic but clean, and didn’t really need anything more. The views were amazing (we had a sea view), and overall good value for money. The service was 10/10, we had an issue with the AC which was fixed immediately, and the owner was there to greet on arrival/check out."

Nous avons vraiment adoré tout, y compris l'hospitalité du personnel. C'était l'endroit idéal pour profiter de vacances relaxantes avec des vues magnifiques, la nature environnante et des gens adorables."

They did so much to make our holiday as relaxed and as perfect as we had hoped for. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is warm and well looked after. "The hotel has a great location, not far from the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a small supermarket to the right of the hotel entrance where you can buy yogurt and other similar items. Behind the hotel is a commercial street where you can shop, but the shop owners are quite casual, and some close very early. The room has a small balcony, not too big or too small. The only drawback is the poorly designed bathroom; the shower is too small, and the toilet paper isn't even next to the toilet! You can arrange airport or ferry pick-up through the hotel on Ctrip, but this will incur an additional fee."

"Fantastic apartment at Meliti suites. The penthouse (Ammos) apartment is so worth the extra cost. The wide balcony runs along the front and round the side so every room has a sea view. One bedroom with a side view out to Sami has an en-suite. The middle bedroom is double aspect with doors facing to the front and side. The 3rd bedroom is smaller and looks out to sea. Lovely indoor sitting/dining/kitchen area and lots of seating options on the balcony, from where you hear the sea breaking on the pebble beach. Great location between Sami (a few mins drive or 20 min walk, The Cellar is a great restaurant) and the even nicer Agia Effimia (10 mins drive. Walk away from the harbour up to Pergola or along to Sea Rock for dinner) and less than 10 mins walk from Melissani lake. There was a really long queue when we went to the lake (a cruise ship was visiting the island) so we just went back another day. And there’s a lovely bakery/cafe just a couple of mins walk away. The staff were very helpful before we arrived and very pleasant when we were there. Photos are of the view from the balcony. "

"I had such a wonderful experience at the spa today. Although I’m not staying at the hotel, I booked a massage and I’m so glad I did. My massage therapist, Antonia, was absolutely incredible. She was so friendly and kind, and gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had. I usually go for strong Thai massages, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from a relaxing massage, but it was fantastic. The pressure was perfect, and she really helped ease the pain and tension in my back. I left feeling so much better. I’d also like to thank the lovely receptionist who welcomed me when I arrived. She and Antonia were both so warm and friendly, and they made me feel completely at ease. They also arranged for me to enjoy the sauna and steam room after my treatment, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Before my massage, I had lunch by the pool, and it was absolutely delicious. The food tasted incredibly fresh, the setting was beautiful, and the service was excellent. A thank you to Chris, who was so helpful and happy to offer advice for the rest of my stay in Kefalonia. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kefalonia. Even if you’re not staying there, it’s well worth booking a spa treatment and enjoying lunch. I’ll definitely be back!"

Rated as 5 star, it didn't live up to expectations, it exceeded them in every aspect. Location, room, spa, dining and housekeeping were on point throughout our 10 night stay. What really did make this a stand out holiday were the hotel staff across the whole spectrum, but with a special and deserved mention to the ladies at reception who exemplified the meaning of customer service, delivered with a lovely Kefalonian smile. "Great hotel & location just a short walk from the lovely karavamylos taverna 200 yards away to the left and a comfy 20 mins stroll away from Sami with plenty of tavernas & shops. Hotel staff were all lovely and smiling. Breakfast was plentiful. We didn't eat here in the evening as no atmosphere in the bar or restaurant. I did find it quite annoying that the pool was shared with the 3* hotel up the road, especially as there is a 5* climate tax payable here! 105 euro for a 7 night stay! The pool bar regularly ran out of draft beer.. 6 euro for a large beer 5 euro for a 330ml can! Not on really for a 5* "resort plus the 2 euro cover charge if you wanted to eat there,regardless of whether you was staying there or not. Basically, nice hotel, great location & staff... would I stay there again... probably not"

"Nous étions les premiers clients de cet hôtel et y avons passé 10 jours. Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre avec accès direct à la piscine et vue sur mer (que nous recommandons vivement). C'était de loin la plus belle chambre où nous ayons séjourné, avec une vue imprenable et du soleil jusqu'en fin de soirée. Nous avons reçu un accueil des plus chaleureux de la part de tout le personnel, qui s'est mis en quatre pour nous. Nous avons vraiment adoré notre séjour ; c'était l'endroit idéal pour se détendre. L'hôtel se trouvait à quelques pas de plusieurs bons restaurants. Je recommande vivement de louer une voiture pour quelques jours si vous aimez l'aventure. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe de l'hôtel pour cette merveilleuse expérience."

Malheureusement, à notre arrivée, il est apparu qu'il y avait un problème avec notre réservation - notre agent de voyage en ligne avait réservé les dates correctes MEN POUR L'ANNEE IMPORTANTE 🥶 ils nous avaient réservés pour 2025. Lillia & Adele à la réception était étonnant - ils ont aidé à contacter notre agent de voyage et ils ont également réussi à nous assurer une chambre pour 3 nuits de 4 - nous avons eu de la chance. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για τη βοήθειά σας κορίτσια 🩷 L'hôtel est central, avec la place principale au sommet de la route (tour à gauche lorsque vous sortir de l'hôtel) Plusieurs bars et tavernes autour Nous avons eu une chambre double, très spacieuse, belle salle de bains. Le petit déjeuner était de style buffet - une variété de produits alimentaires chauds et froids disponibles."

"Hotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way."
