Meliti Waterfront Suites

Fantastic apar**ent at Meliti suites. The penthouse (Ammos) apar**ent is so worth the extra cost. The wide balcony runs along the front and round the side so every room has a sea view. One bedroom with a side view out to Sami has an en-suite. The middle bedroom is double aspect with doors facing to the front and side. The 3rd bedroom is smaller and looks out to sea. Lovely indoor sitting/dining/kitchen area and lots of seating options on the balcony, from where you hear the sea breaking on the pebble beach. Great location between Sami (a few mins drive or 20 min walk, The Cellar is a great restaurant) and the even nicer Agia Effimia (10 mins drive. Walk away from the harbour up to Pergola or along to Sea Rock for dinner) and less than 10 mins walk from Melissani lake. There was a really long queue when we went to the lake (a cruise ship was visiting the island) so we just went back another day. And there’s a lovely bakery/cafe just a couple of mins walk away. The staff were very helpful before we arrived and very pleasant when we were there. Photos are of the view from the balcony.

We stayed in the Waterfront Suites Canella. First floor and directly above the reception. My heart sank immediately upon arrival when we were shown our room. The apar**ent was clean but certainly not high end. In order to maintain privacy in the entire suite , we had to keep all window blinds closed. The balcony was very disappointing in terms of privacy and the pictures on the website are very misleading. This balcony is in full view of the walkway to reception and passers by on the stairwell to the left. The website picture of the balcony had a plant pot strategically placed on the table cleverly obscuring the reception walkway. Usually we enjoy a coffee or drink on the balcony but could not relax at all due to the lack of privacy. There are some lovely suites on the top floor with sea views which I imagine would have been perfect for us but were not available at the time of booking. The location is fantastic and a fabulous base for exploring the rest of the island.

The suite I stayed in (Levanda) was well laid out, equipped and clean. Room service was discreet and done well to maintain the unit throughout. Cross the road to a quiet pebble beach and with good views to Sami port. The local Taverna was also an easy option for meals. An electrical fault was dealt with promptly.

Excellent location with easy acces to a small beach, close to Sami port/marina. Excellent cleaning services. The suite, Helios, has a fresh and modern design and is fitted with all you need. Nice beaches in the proximity, Agia Effimia, Antisamos...Fully recommend!

Wonderful location! By the sea,with a lake and caves nearby. Great views. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves gently lapping the beach. And a 20 minute beach walk to Sami harbour. Such friendly and welcoming staff from Sagis to the housekeepers. Immaculate apar**ent. All mod cons. SmartTV with Netflix and Prime, coffee makers, microwave, washing machine. Fabulous king size bed. Wonderful service from Cosmas, the taxi driver who took us all over the island. Highly recommend travelling in June Quietish but very warm. Btw - the sea next to the hotel gets a bit wavy in the afternoon and has some cold currents but don't let that put you off. I swam and snorkelled there. And you're also only a 20 minute drive from one of the best beaches on the island - Antisamos beach.

Housekeeping is immaculate, house looks freshly renovated and very modern!!! Staff is excellent and very friendly special thanks to Tina and Thanasis who made sure we had the best experience possible!!!!

Another wonderful stay at meliti suites. Immaculately clean, and hosts extremely friendly. It’s a calm and relaxing place to stay. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it’s a central location for travelling around the island, great places to eat nearby and a small bakery around the corner.

We stayed here for a week in the apar**ent named Perla. It was upstairs with a reasonable water view. If you can’t walk upstairs this apar**ent might not be suitable. It was spacious and clean with a full kitchen . One bedroom, plus a sofa bed . In other apar**ents I have stayed in , it’s common to have a few basic kitchen necessities provided to get you through the first night/morning until you can shop. There was only a bottle of water in the fridge. Despite a coffee machine and kettle there were no tea bags or coffee pods or milk provided. No salt and pepper, olive oil provided. Despite a washing machine no laundry liquid provided. These little things would be welcomed, especially with no local mini market operating. Some guests were swimming directly infront of the apar**ents. We were not told you could take sun beds over for the beach, only found this out by observing others. As others have said it’s about a 30 minute walk into town via the beach which is fine in the daytime and if you are not carrying back groceries. so unless you are prepared for this walk , or have a car, you would need to rely on taxis to get around. There is a good cafe opposite which serves food all day plus takeaways. There is a big Taverna 3 mins walk away,There is a bakery 5 mins walk away. The local mini market didn’t open this year so the closest one was in Sami . Would strongly recommend you have a car if you stay here. Sami is a great place to stay on the island. If I go again I would stay closer to Sami town

Waking up to a sea view was bliss. The apar**ent was spacious, well appointed and perfect for our stay. The walk to Sami is pleasant along the coast. We didn’t have a car which made the lack of local shop a disadvantage but there are nice places to eat nearby (& buy water.) My experience of Greek showers is that they are always small but the bathroom overall was generous, as were the toiletries & fluffy towels. I would happily stay here again as a fantastic central base for exploring this beautiful island. There is even a pool for perfect after a day sightseeing. Being able to grab a lounger to take down to the beach was also a nice touch. Staff were friendly & the Manager went out of his way to support our stay. Thank you.
