Very nice hotel, lovely room with a very comfy bed. Breakfast choices were plentiful. Only downside for us was the restaurant was closed while we were there, which meant a drive into town for an evening meal

This was such a welcoming hotel with fantastic rooms and a fantastic breakfast. This was part of a three week trip to Europe and they even did our laundry for the reasonable price of 10 Euro. It's close to town and the restaurant had very good food as well. No air conditioning in the rooms but we were able to create a breeze which kept things cool with the ample windows. Very nice stay.

Excellent hotel in the hills of Idar. Modern interior and very nice restaurant. The room (superior double) was extraordinarily equipped and spacious, one of the nicest rooms I ever had. Staff is super friendly. There was not a single thing missing, we had a great stay!

Lovely hotel at a lovely place. I always stay there whenever I visit Idar. Great rooms, nice people en good service. They really improved the hotel the last years and I am very happy about it! Breakfast is really good. Excellent choice of food and good coffee.

Kind staff, clean place, fair prices, pretty decoration and two adorable cats 🐈⬛🐈 We made a mistake and booked a room in another hotel (Hotel - Pizzeria Venezia) without realizing it was way too far from Idar Oberstein; btw manager at Venezia was super kind and allowed us to cancel without penalty (thank you again!). We booked a room at the Berghotel literally two hours before our arrival, and everything went smoothly and rushed free, Súper recommended

The approach to the hotel had me a bit worried( Sat nab brought us through some less than appealing neighbourhoods then onto a road that makes you think it goes nowhere!) however no need to be worried, the hotel was just what we needed after a long day on the motorbike. Staff were friendly at check in, spoke a good amount of English, sorry my German is non existent, the room was a bit dated but clean and functional. The restaurant and bar are both much more modern and the food was delicious. As an overnight stop on a touring holiday it was fine, but of a walk into town down steep roads or path if you are wanting to, my advice is don’t bother just stay at the hotel and have a few drinks there! Breakfast buffet was good, plenty of choice.

Very nice stay as always! Enjoyed a wine tasting evening at the venue. The breakfast is in buffet form. There are several sorts of bread and lots of different sorts of food to go with the bread. Fresh fruit, eggs boiled or scrambled... Rooms are clean and cosy.

Es war ein Oldtimer-Event unserer Comunity. Zuvorkommender Check in : Neue renovierte Zimmer im besten Standart. Top Kellner + Bewirtung am Buffet mit hervorragendem ESSEN !! Anfahrt im Hellen, BEleuchtung Begrenzungen wären vorteilhaft, da wir mit Anhäger + Oldi unterwegs waren. Preise TOP + Leistung sehr gehoben, speziell die Küche hervorragend. ***** so wünscht man(n) sich ein entspannendes+ ruhiges Hotel nach 600 km Anreise.********
