The place takes a bit of time to get to, as it is not on a major road, but the ride in is spectacular. Once you arrive, there is ample parking across the street and the people are real, and agreeable to chat, inform, or leave you to yourself. The prices are more than fair and they pour a handsome pint. The decor has a warm patina to it communicating it is clearly not a typical tourist trap.

Most lovely place to stay after a beautiful walk. The team off the climbers inn knows how to make you feel good: warm welcome, lovely smiles, nice room with a good hot shower, authentic pub with strong food, adorable shop and PO... Just the place to be while walking the Kerry Way. The walk from Black Valley can be very difficult (we just walked from Bridia and I would recommend that), especially when it rains, the people off the Climbers Inn know that and they will take care off you. We just loved this place.

We enjoyed our stay at Climbers Inn. The rooms were a little tight for 4 tall adults but the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and it was perfect for one night. Lost one star for absence of wifi in the guest room. It is in the restaurant and lobby. Sons enjoyed the bar. Dinner was delicious. Went for a hike and enjoyed it. Continental breakfast was outstanding. Long, winding, scary drive to get there but would stay here again.

Stayed for two nights as part of package with Kerry Climbing . Mary and her family could not do enough to make my stay more welcoming. Food was great especially the Irish Breakfasts.Room was comfortable and quiet for good night's sleep.The Guinness was great.Well worth a visit.

After a difficult grind on a wet day through the Black Valley the Climbers Inn was an oasis to recover. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The food portions were huge and welcome after the tough slog. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great night stay.

Loved my stay here. Very welcoming people. I was called by my name from moment I arrived felt right at home. Had food in the bar lunch & dinner both really good. Plenty of chaty locals in the bar ,pints where good . Room was really clean & modern ,bed comfy. Great cooked breakfast by staff with a smile can't be beaten. Only downside I wasn't there for another day.

Awesome place to stop after your climb! Super friendly and even had a little store next door. Also had a post office, a hostel, a pool table. Close to all the hikes. Go for a celebratory beer! Would definitely go back! Beautiful views here, as well

It's rare nowadays to find a truly authentic Irish country pub with a good atmosphere and a really genuine warm welcome - but that's exactly what you get at The Climbers Inn!! Only stayed one night though - warm welcome - good food - great drink - good local crowd in watching the county semi-final created a genuine atmosphere - rooms were spotless and the showers were very good and just what we needed to refresh after a long day in the mountains. Breakfast was excellent. Great value Highly recommended

The hike from Black Valley to Glencar can be tough, especially when the weather is not ideal. The Climbers Inn is located on the Kerry Way, and offers dinner, breakfast, and comfortable rooms with a hot shower. There is a small shop for supplies, a pub and post office. We slept here in august 2022 when hiking the Kerry Way, and were happy with the cold pints of Guinness and the very tasty (and large) breakfast after a good nights rest.
