The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really nice!!! The service is super good! This cottage is so lovely!!!

很漂亮的小別墅，我預訂的單人間，房間雖然小，住一晚也足夠了。 2樓的客廳很英倫，喜歡。 早餐中規中矩是傳統英式早餐，一大堆根本吃不完。 房東Lucy很和藹可親，唯一不足的是暖氣間斷供暖，晚上睡覺比較冷，我把羽絨服啥也蓋在被子上才暖和點，可能是床離窗子太近了，是真冷。 另外，衞生間的電熱毛巾架也是間斷供熱的 離鎮中心有點點距離，另外我房間還殘留上個住客的垃圾，真環保。總體來説還是不錯

What a lovely weekend we had at The Edwardene. Arrived on Friday afternoon to a very warm welcome from Mathew, who introduced us to the various parts of the building, explained breakfast times and then showed us to our room. This was warm and cosy and spotlessly clean, with a great view of the mountains. Our stay here was wonderful, really quiet and relaxing with no noise from other guests. Breakfast on both mornings was really lovely with fresh ingredients and served on hot plates, which is real passion of mine. When we departed yesterday morning Mathew was there again to say goodbye and thanks for booking. He's a real asset to The Edwardene. Don't ever lose him! Thanks for a wonderful stay Mathew.

The hosts were great, very kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location was within easy walking distance to everything. We stayed in the apar**ent, very comfortable with great beds and a washing machine. We could have stayed forever.

Just returned from a trip to the Lake District ending with a one night stay in the Edwardene at Keswick. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the stay . Bedroom spotlessly clean and comfortable with an array of good quality tea/ coffee and full size gorgeous toiletries. The staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable - giving advice with regards the local area . The breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and served efficiently. The lounge area is comfortable and do try a slice of the Victoria sponge cake ! We were offered it free of charge for booking direct and it was very welcome! Would definitely book again when back in town Only downside is 4 pm check in but this appears average nowadays . Thank you hosts for a lovely night under your roof.

Well I can see why this place has over 400 excellent reviews and I’m very happy to add to them. This place is stunning and Lucy is an incredible hostess. My room was beautiful with a lovely en suite. It was extremely clean with high spec linen and extras. The view from the window was so picturesque and everything you want from Lake District accommodation. The guest house is in an excellent location just a short walk to trails, shops and restaurants. The breakfast menu offers choice and caters for all dietary needs. The service was impeccable. I can’t wait to stay there again.

A group of us stayed here for a uni friends meet up. Lucy and her staff could not have been more welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast offered a choice of delicious well prepared food. We all had a wonderful time, and would definitely stay again. I wonder if the previous reviewer is actually talking about the same place!

This is a perfectly situated location to explore Keswick and the Lakes. Lucy and team are really attentive, friendly and informative. Great hosts who made our stay really relaxing and fun. Room super clean and comfy with great shower and also lovely views of Keswick and surrounding hills. Guest lounge had all we could wish for and is relaxing with a touch of luxury. The breakfast was second to none. With one meat eater and one vegetarian the staff went out of their way to ensure all our wishes were catered for down to the smallest detail. This was my first time staying in Keswick and i will definitely be returning to The Edwardene.

Well where shall I start.. After a 40 minute tour from Lucy, we finally managed to have a nice relaxing shower (very good shower may I add) and then ventured out into the town to sample some of the lakes finest ales which was well deserved after a full day of strenuous walking. Whilst sitting down for breakfast in the morning, we were confronted by Lucy who proceeded to tell us that we were extremely loud when entering the building last night which caused one of the guests to leave. As a result, she decided to charge us £120 extra on top of our bill. When we arrived back to the building in the morning, we were eating our takeaway food in the lounge area for a max of 20 minutes. After re-watching numerous videos, the noise levels were on par with the sound of guests snoring that echoed around the place due to the 3 inch gap around each door. What Lucy didn't realise is that one of her other guests was storming around the building at a similar time banging around and even offering us ***** that he pulled out of his pocket. In addition to this, he was telling us that his girlfriend had been taken to the police station so yes, guests probably did leave for other reasons. In addition to this, Lucy accused us of keeping people awake (for 20 mins max if true) so they were too tired to come down for breakfast - you probably can imagine how hard it was keeping a straight face. As I mentioned at the start of this post, the shower is the best thing about the place but not ideal when having to dodge all the stain ridden floors afterwards (photos attached). Tips - just drink water if you're staying on a Saturday night.
