Hôtels proches de Watendlath, Keswick

Having just returned from a three night stay at Leathes Head, I felt compelled to sing its praises. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mark and taken to our room. Our bags were even attended to. Not too often these days......... ! Our ”superior room” was comfortable, immaculately clean and had a splendid view towards Derwentwater, Skiddaw and beyond. It was a tad tired but more than acceptable. The public rooms are modern with a traditional twist and very, very welcoming. The lounge would sit very well in any country house. Following our gentle walk in the garden which enjoys a good balance of belonging to nature and being tended to we went inside for dinner. There is no other word to use other than exquisite. Each course of the three set menus was better than the previous one. The entire team in the kitchen deserve a great deal of praise and credit. During Service, Mark's manner whilst looking after his guests also deserves a mention. A mix of being relaxed and being attentive; not an easy balance to achieve. Guests who chose to go elsewhere for their evening meal don't know what they missed. The standard and choice of breakfasts and the professionalism of the morning staff also deserve much praise. A great start to a good day's walking. In our opinion, Leathes Head achieves what it sets out to be. An English Country House Hotel which sets high standards in all aspects of what it has to offer.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay in this YHA. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s in a great location, with many walks straight from the doorstep or a local bus ride away. It has a good bar and the food on offer is simple but a good selection and everything you need after a day on the fells. It has a spacious drying room which was very well used due to the amount of rain during the week. The showers are warm, powerful and spacious. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. The only improvement I would suggest is my bunk bed was quite creaky when I moved. This wasn’t too much of an issue as I was in a private room but would have been more annoying if I’d been sharing i.e. I wouldn’t have wanted to move as not to wake others up.

L'hôtel traditionnel du district du lac est idéal pour se promener autour de Keswick. La chambre était chaude et a une vue magnifique sur les collines de neige. Le lit était très confortable et les installations dans la chambre étaient propres. La décoration de l'hôtel est traditionnelle dans le pays. L'entrée était rapide, quelques escaliers pour monter à ma chambre. La chambre qui a servi le petit déjeuner était très jolie et amicale, malgré notre arrivée très proche du service fermé. Le parc est petit mais a réussi à partager ma voiture et a été autorisé à la laisser là quelques heures après avoir vérifié, de sorte que je puisse explorer Keswick. Un séjour confortable d'une nuit. Merci.

Nous avons séjourné ici pour 2 nuits dans le cadre de notre lune de miel. L'hôtel est Grand de l'extérieur. Nous avons été check-in et nous avons reçu la chambre 115. La chambre était très grande, mais la salle de bain était très date, le sol était à un angle bizarre, donc il était monté pour aller à la salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner était excellent 👍 il était buffet et de bonne qualité, donc pas de plaintes! Nous sommes allés à la réception pour leur dire que le lit était terrible et ils ont changé notre chambre immédiatement à une chambre rénovée qui était bien mieux! Chambre 117. L'hôtel est situé à quelques pas du centre de Keswick et il y a beaucoup de parking.

Personnel/propriétaire agréable.

Ce qui est un hôtel fabuleux. Payé pour un Premier Double qui n'a pas déçu. Une belle zone de siège de la baie avec vue sur les collines et le lac. Ainsi calme et un beau fond. L'hôtel était sumptueux, le petit déjeuner était délicieux et beaucoup de choix. Le personnel était très aimable. Prendre l'une des marches que l'hôtel avait suggérée, écrit sur papier que vous pouviez prendre avec vous. Wow ... stunning. Même une déterrence sur notre chemin. La chambre est très confortable et très confortable et est très appréciée, car nous avons eu le temps le plus chaud pendant notre séjour.
