Killarney Oaks Hotel

Stayed 2 nights for a family wedding- service was excellent, food in the bar was very good, food at wedding was of a very high standard for a wedding reception, bedroom very spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and coffee was very good. Would highly recommend.

I suppose the risk of arriving after 7pm to check in for one night is that you take whatever room they offer. I was staying for the first time on business at the Kilkarney Oaks Hotel. From the outside it seems like a nice hotel and as soon as you enter the spacious and luxurious foyer you get the feeling that this is no ordinary 4 star hotel. The decor is beautiful, between the freshness of grey tones and the crystal chandeliers, no expense has been spared. Check in was fast and pleasant and I was assigned my room. However, the room was a slight let down. The size was no bigger than I would expect from any Itish hotel room. But I wasn't expecting it to be crammed full of beds! I was staying as an individual, but had the choice of a small double bed or either of two single beds. I thought it was like Goldilocks choice, but I refrained from seeing if one was too hard, one too soft and one just right! If this was considered a family room them it was for a tiny family who liked living on top of each other. I had to rearrange furniture just to get to the window to close the curtains. As a businessman I tend to get to my room and stay in it until bedtime. But this room was very unwelcoming. Don't get me wrong, it was spotlessly clean, fresh and felt like it had just been totally redecorated. It just wasn't a nice place to be because of the number of beds along with a table and 2 chairs. I'm glad I only stayed 1 night. I might give it another go the next time I'm in Killarney but I'll be more circumspect about defining what is acceptable as a place of comfort.

Had my sons communion there last Saturday, it was absolutely fantastic, would definitely recommend for any functions, don’t know how people could give a negative review they must be on a different planet. Great service keep it up !!!

Visited here today for lunch between half one and half two. Got served by two really efficient professional girls, i didnt get their names but they were brilliant at their jobs. Menus were brought quickly and they were very attentive. Lovely bright airy bar and restaurant as well. Great selection on the menus. It was so refreshing to see good old fashioned items on the menu like bacon and cabbage, lamb and beef as these are hard to come by in other places which usually serve the same 'chips and burger' type everywhere so it was nice to just have a normal dinner. Great selction and variety of vegetables with the meal as well and they were cooked well. Great portion sizes too. Place is immacutely clean as always. Bathrooms kept in great condition. Keep up the good work!

Killarney Oaks hosted our gaa football social in early January. A huge crowd attended and the service from the first day booking right through to the night was absolutely outstanding. Management did everything to make the planning easy and the staff on the night were exceptional. Fabulous meal and such attentive staff for such a large crowd. Thank you so much to all the helped us for what was a huge occasion for our club.

Myself and my new husband Jason celebrated our Wedding in the Killarney Oaks hotel in glorious sunshine on June 2nd. If we could do it all again we would! What a fabulous hotel ❤️❤️ From the moment we laid eyes on the wedding banquet room we knew this was the place we wanted to celebrate our special day. What a beautiful room, so bright, so gorgeously decorated with candelabra’s and cherry blossom trees. The Oaks know exactly how to do weddings…from our wedding tasting to our actual day, it was all just perfect. 🥰 Tara, our wedding Co-ordinator was just superb from the get go and she was always at the end of the phone or an email and she gave us great advice all along. I must also mention Sandra who was super helpful on the night of our tasting. 😊❤️We had the chocolate fountain in our drinks reception which I highly recommend and this went down a big hit. The scones, sandwiches and canapés were all Devine. The food is this hotel is amazing and that’s what you want at a wedding, you want the guarantee that all your guests won’t be hungry after their day. ❤️I had also taken back a lot of decor to the hotel ahead of our wedding reception which I had gotten from various suppliers and Tara had it all set up perfectly on the day. I must also mention the gorgeous Roman Gardens at the back of the hotel which were the perfect backdrop for our sparkler pictures ✨✨just to mention the bedrooms — The bedrooms in this hotel are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. For our special weekend we stayed two nights in both the bridal suite and then the junior suite and both were stunning rooms ❤️You are sure to have a lovely filling breakfast the next morning with a brilliant buffet and lovely hot food selection on display . On our wedding day We made our beautiful entrance around 5pm greeted by Tara with some Prosecco and we were welcomed by all our guests into the fabulous reception area of the hotel so thank you to all in the Killarney Oaks for make our experience really wonderful, a dream come true ❤️ 10/10 from us 🌟

We had a family dinner there for our wedding. The Chris**as decorations ware magical. It made it extra special for our young kids they loved it. The food was amazing and the service was second to none they made us feel so special.

We got married at the Killarney Oaks on 9th December 2023. The venue was wonderful, dressed so magnificently to reflect a festive Wedding. I would highly recommend it. Throughout the whole Wedding process Tara and her team were wonderful to work with, and ensured the whole Wedding experience was as stress free as possible. I can’t say thank you enough

We had our wedding in the Killarney Oaks Hotel in July 2023. We couldn’t have been happier with how the day went and all our dealings with Tara and the hotel staff. The hotel were amazing to deal with from the day we booked 2 years previous. The drinks reception is still being talked about by our guests, the service and setting is stunning, delicious food and modern affordable bedrooms. Tara had everything timed to perfection, we asked her to show the All Ireland hurling semi final during the meal and we timed the speeches for half time, it was done perfectly!! Food was delicious and catered brilliantly to people with dietary requirements. Lots of staff on so service was prompt and seemless, bar was running smoothly at all times.
