Very friendly welcoming Rooms at the Nook. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay following a gig at the picturedome this is the place. I wouldn’t expect a quiet stay. Loud music from the bar until about 12.30 on a Friday. People not understanding the need to be quiet. That is in no way the fault of the Nook. The welcome was very friendly, lots of information about parking etc. Had a very good sleep with comfortable beds and bathroom was very clean. Good breakfast.

We came in a party of 7 staying in two rooms and were thoroughly impressed with the stay. Comfy rooms, good breakfasts and really helpful staff who went above and beyond. Absolutely brilliant all round and will be recommending to anyone visiting the area.

Booked a 'Room at The Nook' for a gig at The Picturedrome. The rooms are right across the street so really handy. Clean, tidy and compact but ok for a one night stay. We had a room on the third floor with looked out onto the pub front courtyard. As you would expect it is very noisy up until closing time but we ourselves enjoyed a couple of post gig beers in the pub and became part of the noise. Cooked breakfast was excellent. There is no parking nearby but we found unrestricted street space about a ten minute walk away.

Wouldn’t say this is a 4 star. Stayed on the top floor. Rooms very small with limited space around the bed. Very hot and a very small inadequate air cooler. Breakfast jams and bread for toast left uncovered whilst a lot of flies flying around. Breakfast bar very limited.

Great service from check in to check out. The staff were friendly & helpful. Lovely quirky room, very comfy bed, had a great nights sleep. The breakfast room was really nice, the whole place was lovely. Good breakfast, good beer in the bar downstairs & in The Nook. Great location, we will definately be back.

two night stay. Staff were lovely as were the breakfasts. However, rooms, although spotless, were not really fit for purpose. They had obviously been renovated to a reasonably high standard but our room could only be considered a single room with a double bed. We had to move the bed as There was the chance of injury owing to the very low beam in the sloping ceiling above it. Also, another beam in the middle of the room would have proved difficult for anyone 6ft plus. Bathroom spotless but again low beams. Finally The Nook's own bar was not very welcoming and was not as clean and tidy as the rest of the property. e

The room itself was ok and the bathroom was excellent as was the breakfast and friendly service. However, the bed was rather firm but the main issue and hence the 1 star is music was being played until after 1 am!!! It started around 8pm and then was constant until the small hours, incredibly loud. I'm not 100% sure if it was from the Nooks own bar or the one next door, but either way it was impossible to get any sleep until it finally stopped. Spoilt our stay completely and wont be going back I'm afraid.

I booked a double room for 02/04/2022 through ***********, and paid in full in advance. My husband tested positive for covid at lunchtime that day. I rang the accommodation straight away, to cancel the booking. As there was no reply, I left message, explaining the situation, and asked them to ring back. It was a long shot, but I did wonder if they could transfer the booking to another date, if they were able to resell the room. They did not return my call. I also contacted ***********. They tried to contact the accommodation, also without success. I sent an email to the accommodation, in similar terms, but have received no response. A reply to say they were unable to transfer the booking, would have been good manners, and the least I would expect.
