I booked a double room for 02/04/2022 through ***********, and paid in full in advance. My husband tested positive for covid at lunchtime that day. I rang the accommodation straight away, to cancel the booking. As there was no reply, I left message, explaining the situation, and asked them to ring back. It was a long shot, but I did wonder if they could transfer the booking to another date, if they were able to resell the room. They did not return my call. I also contacted ***********. They tried to contact the accommodation, also without success. I sent an email to the accommodation, in similar terms, but have received no response. A reply to say they were unable to transfer the booking, would have been good manners, and the least I would expect.
